Our night started off well—the appetizers were good. However, the main courses were very mediocre and not worth the price. The customer service was also disappointing.
We were a group of 10 on a set menu and were told we would have a private room, but upon arrival, we were seated in the main dining area. There was only one waiter assigned to our table, and while they was very nice, they was clearly overwhelmed. Service was slow, and the table was not cleared in a timely manner.
Additionally, when we called earlier in the day, we were told there would be no cake-cutting fee, but upon arrival, the staff informed us there was actually a $6 per person charge. Even though this was their mistake, they refused to honor the original agreement.
To make matters worse, while we were still having dinner, approximately 30 people crowded around our table, standing and drinking in our space. On top of that, we specifically asked for our cake to be kept in the freezer, but they stored it in the fridge instead, and by the time we took it home, it had melted.
The management was unprofessional and rude, showing no concern for customer satisfaction. If you’re looking for private dining or planning a larger group gathering, I would highly recommend avoiding this place.

This place is one of my favorite spots when I’m looking to hang out on the east side. The drinks are good, and the ambiance is warm for a casual night out. I like the live music, which adds a good energy to the space but, during my last visit, the violinist and the singer were quite loud and I could barely hear my friends. Lowering the volume slightly would’ve balanced.
While the drinks and atmosphere are good, the food left me a bit disappointed. We ordered a few appetizers, including the crudo, but the fish had a strong, unpleasant smell and tasted as if it wasn’t fresh. Other food options were simple and untwisted (not a lot of food choices overall). These improvements can elevate the experience!!

Looks cozy and inviting from the outside but lifeless atmosphere and menu on the inside. Overpriced for the quality. Seems to be getting by on location alone.
Really impressed - the Nduja Mussels were amazing, great fries too

Had an amazing meal at Bar St Lo! The curry hummus with homemade roti was incredible, and the oysters were uniquely dressed, fresh, slightly sweet, and so flavorful. The burrata winter salad might have been my favorite, but it paired beautifully with the spice of the flat iron steak. Great drink options too! The French red was smooth and the espresso martini was unreal! Can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere is so cozy & perfect for a date night ♥️

The food on the new menu was incredible, with the hummus being a standout. The vibe and ambiance were equally impressive. A huge shoutout to the staff for hosting us and doing an amazing job with our birthday celebration for 18!

If I had to choose my final death row meal, it would be the nduja mussels from Bar St. Lo. These are hands down the best mussels I’ve had in the city—bold, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. (Seriously, I might start drafting my will just to include them.)
The updated menu is a total game changer. My boyfriend and I also tried the hamachi crudo, flat iron steak, and banana bread for dessert, and every dish hit it out of the park. But let’s talk about the cocktails: The Perfect Storm was great, but Nudibranch was my personal favorite—refreshing with a sesame twist that was so unique and delicious it deserves its own spotlight.
The service and overall vibe were top notch. You can tell the team really cares about delivering an exceptional dining experience. Can’t wait to come back (probably for more mussels and a second round of Nudibranch)! Highly recommend!

One of the best ambiance and one of the tastiest kitchen in Toronto, and believe me I have been to a lot of places here and all around the world, it is true that are not that many options in the menu, but still all of them delicious, didn’t have to many photos of all we have because I was not planning to leave a review until everything exceed my expectations, and the staff here: friendly, open and know their menu by heart, hope you will get your Michelin star soon as you deserve it

When you want great drinks and require great service, this is the place! I asked for non menu drinks. ex: please make me a whiskey mixed drink that’s not too sweet. He came through with a Paper Plane. I then asked for a Canadian Gin cocktail and he made a Gimlet. Such a nice compliment to the gin made here in Toronto. Gomez was a legit mixologist.

Delicious food and fantastic vibe. The only sad thing was that they’re on a reduced menu, because we really wanted to try the bone marrow!
We will be back during another season for sure.

This place is super cool. We enjoyed dirty martinis and raw oysters that were priced fairly during happy hour specials. The atmosphere was super fun and relaxing. The staff was nice and we felt welcomed! We also appreciated the efficient service, as we stopped here with limited time before an event.
