My last meal at Bar Sybanne was rather disappointing. My group ordered the hummus, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, sliders and fried chicken, and to our surprise, nothing was truly satisfying. Hummus was dry and grainy, cauliflower was bland, and the sliders were bone dry. The brussels sprouts and fried chicken were good, but nothing to write home about. The service was also very poor. The only redeeming quality of this meal were our drinks, which were delicious.Bar Sybanne used to be great pre-pandemic! It's unfortunate to see the quality of food decrease so drastically.

They don’t have varieties of options on their menus . There food is mediocre. So , If you want overpriced horrible food go to Bar Sybanne. They want you to pay all this money just for the vibes (example -lowering the light and having candles as aesthetic )

The reason I’m not giving Bar Sybanne five stars is that there’s no air conditioning! I had an excellent dinner with plenty of nice vegetarian options and great service, but in this Toronto heatwave it was quite unpleasant with no AC. Warm, humid air was blowing in from the street with the sun and it made me quite uncomfortable! Overall, the food was delicious (star of the meal was the dip trio and Sybanne Spritz), but considering how hot Toronto gets in the summer I’d recommend investing in a couple of AC units or even some fans (the ceiling fan did nothing)

Mary Jane at bar brings the hot happening cocktail cation to start off your fabulous dining experience. She recommends her favs ... I asked her to make my special Hugo from my Amalfi Coast holiday & she nailed it. Of course, the food is delish ... get their Brussels. My new fav Toronto spot.

Amazing experience in this oriental bar/restaurant. The place is clean, beautifully decorated and has a patio. The cocktail menu was quite original and were prepared in a professional way. The food menu was very appealing, I would definitely recommend the dip sampler (Maple eggplant + hummus) and salmon tartar. Hibiscus rice and fried chicken bites will be my next choice. Barmaid and chef were very friendly! I totally recommend this place that is well located!

We drove past the Ossington area to find a good place to stop. As soon as we walked into Bar Sybanne we loved the "Vibe" It felt fun and cozy at the same time. We took the last table available. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful with choosing dishes. This place is one of those restaurants that truly deserves the "a find" tag. This are not food dishes you find everywhere. We ordered the mushrooms, Veggies and chicken skewers. Such great flavors. The food was well paced and we never felt rushed. We loved it so much we told our server to tell the chef how much we loved the food. Howard the owner/chef came out to talk to us a few minutes later. Wow! Not only is the food great but the people here are too. Can't wait to return.

I came here with my girlfriend and even after realizing we messed up our reservation date, they made space for us with a smile and rectified the situation as we ate our [DELICIOUS] meal. Even the cook coming out from the back to deliver our food [pink cotton candy hair and an awesome smile] was a wonderful addition to our time in your establishment. The brussels sprout salad is a 10/10 win

AMAZING! I went with my recently engaged friend to celebrate. The food, the service and the vibe was perfect. We ordered so many things, but the best things we tried were the dip sampler which comes with a plate of cucumbers and a plate of bread (heavenly!) and the beef and lamb kibbeh slidders.Would definitely recommend!

One of the best meals we have ever had. We got the hummus which was incredible with pita and cucumbers. The (real) Greek salad amazing with so much flavor and the best fried chicken you will ever eat! The drinks were very well made and delicious. The owners Howard & Carlos were so friendly and accommodating especially since my husband has a nut allergy they went above and beyond to make sure he was safe first. Incredible place to go and we can’t wait to come back to Toronto to eat here again. Thank you guys.

3.5 Stars Came here last week (after being on my go to list for awhile). It's a small tapas style restaurant located on Ossington. The front of the restaurant has a few larger tables but towards the back, it feels like a more intimate experience (lower lights, 2 seat tables, the bar is back here). I just came for drinks and some small bites. We wanted to order the grilled octopus but it was sold out. So we decided to try the fish and an order of patatas bravas. The fish skin was crispy and the fish itself was not over cooked. Really enjoyed this dish. The patatas bravas...was a nope for both of us (I've had this dish before so I know what it should taste like). The potatoes were undercooked and it was piled high with sauces/crème fraiche and olives. Both diners did not like this one and we only took a few bites. The drinks were really well done - definitely come back for cocktails! I had the Butterfly Effect and the Agape. The servers were extremely friendly and pleasant, even when there was a mix up with the reservation.

(3) The staff at this restaurant are friendly and accommodated when I asked to be seated somewhere other than they initially planned. From the bar we had the Agape and the Harvest Moon, both of which were refreshing and floral. From the food menu we had the Labneh, Fried Brussel Leaves, Seared Halloumi, Grilled Octopus and the Mushrooms Five Ways. The best of the selection was definitely the Fried Brussel Leaves, which evidently have been on the menu since their opening. Unfortunately, the Labneh and Halloumi were slightly underwhelming; I wish the Labneh was a tad more seasoned an the Halloumi a bit less well done.

Had an amazing dining experience at Bar Sybanne. Between our group of 5, we had a gluten, nut and dairy allergy and the chef went out of his way to ensure everyone’s needs were accommodated and that they felt comfortable with the dishes they ordered. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our experience here. Both the food and ambience are excellent. I am celiac and both the waitstaff and chef went above and beyond to ensure the food was safe for me. Would highly recommend!
