We visited bar volo on whim on a Sunday evening and was blown away by the beautiful rustic interior. We were able to grab a seat on the patio but it was dirty and the staff was inattentive, but we soon found out that there is no table service so all is forgiven! Unfortunately we had arrived shortly after a bridal party came in unannounced and ravaged the kitchen of its most popular dishes. So we were left with the pepperoni pizza and ravioli which were both amazing. Great beer and cocktail selection. We will RETURN!

Their beer selection is exceptional and hard to find elsewhere in Toronto (except maybe at C'est What or Granite). They are the true ambassadors of cask ale, hosting an annual cask ale festival (a rare find anywhere in the world!).
The food is homestyle Italian cuisine - simple yet delicious. When a place pays attention to every detail, you know something special is in store. More than recommended!

Bar Volo is a gem! The food was incredible – the carbonara pasta is a must-try, and the charcuterie board had a fantastic variety, making it the perfect pairing with our drinks. I’ll definitely be back just for the food alone

Finding a classic, cask conditioned bitter (served in a dimpled tankard) was the high point for me. If the selection is daunting, the friendly, knowledgeable bar staff are on hand to guide you through the dazzling array of taps and hand-pumps, so sit down, enjoy and fill your boots!

When you think service can not drop any lower...come to Bar Volo ... Have been to this place multiple times and service been continuously deteriorating. Speechless after my last visit: I ordered and paid for a caesar salad WITHOUT chicken. Kitchen messed up my order and delivered my caesar salad WITH chicken. I did not even notice until 5 minutes after a guy came with a card machine and said I must pay extra because my salad is with chicken. I paid because I did not want to ruin my evening with a friend with pointless discussion, however do you guys sincerely believe that customers should pay for extras that they did not order and. kitchen messed up? Unless this is a way to scam customers. Either way, as said, customer service probably could not go any lower....

Had lunch here yesterday and it was excellent food and excellent service! We got a mortadella panini, salad on the side, and carbonara- delicious. The real reason why I wanted to write this review though is because of the worker at the bar. I want to applaud them for making us feel very comfortable and also easy in mere seconds.
