One of the craziest bar experiences we've ever had! Was only going to go for one drink and a bit of food but somehow left after having multiple drinks and way too much food ahaha! Great experience, the manhattan was the greatest drink I've ever had. Just watch out with the manhattan, I still have some smoke left on my hand from the outside of the cup, not the biggest deal but it doesn't scrub off too well. Got our Lobster Rolls comped as well even though they only came out a couple minutes late, would've paid but they insisted it to be comped. Again what an experience, everyone needs to go here at least once in their life. Hits every sense.

We braved the Blizzard yesterday to make it to our reservation. It turned out to be a great choice, because we had almost the entire bar to ourselves for several hours. Finally some brave people showed up as well to bask in the quiet ambiance. The Host and staff were amazing as always and the drinks were fantastic. Every time I've been previously it's been busy (rightfully so) but it was great to enjoy a nice quiet evening there with my partner, friend, and a few others.

Cocktails were delicious, though somewhat overpriced at $25+ each. Small plates were wonderful. Steak tartare was incredible and full of flavour. Lobster rolls were also very tasty. Service was wonderful and ambience was great.

We enjoyed the cocktails and they are worth the price! Food was great with the exception of the chicken nuggets.... Really lack flavour and overall boring..expected more. While our overall experience was great I did want to note that our reservation was for 6PM and the doors did not open to the restaurant until 6:05PM. It was very cold waiting outside and shouldn't be acceptable.

Exceeded expectations! From service to creativity and presentation. Everyone enjoyed the ambiance, attention to detail and of Cousy the creations. Each drink was a masterpiece and sides delicious, only a little light on proportion.

I was going to spend my New Year completely alone, so I booked a nice spot just in front of the bar. It was very surprising to me that the staff were very friendly - it literally felt like you belong to this place and you are very old friends with them, which is quite a unique experience nowadays. It was a bit more noisy than I expected, but I still felt good about it since it was a New Year's celebration. BarChef complemented all guests with a nice drink and black caviar in honour of the last night of the year and it was really nice! If you are a big fan of new experiences in the world of cocktails and night outs - I strongly recommend this place.

Visiting from Winnipeg, Manitoba, finding the place was unnecessarily difficult for out-of-towners, and calling ahead was pointless—straight to voicemail. Credit where it's due: they quickly adjusted our reservation when our flight arrived late. Food was nothing special, honestly closer to McDonald's-level basics than anything premium. Cocktails looked great but were more theatre than drink. Prices? Premium. Final thought: An experience, not a meal.

I think I will come back again. The drinks menu is great and the place has perfect lighting and offers a quiet, cozy spot to have a nice conversation.
I went to compton ave previously so my expectations were high. Honestly it was a bummer. The prices are ok but our drinks were very sweet and underwhelming. We wanted food but the server didn't come back. By the time she did we just got the check and left. I was so excited because of the affiliation with drink masters but it didn't live up to the hype. I will try prequel but barchef isn't nearly as good as compton ave.

absolutely next level fine dining mixology! drinks were insanely layered, aromatic, and complex😮💨 immersed in your own tiny world electrifying all senses. the smell inside these tiny bowls, alternating between sips and bites brought out magical notes. finished off the experience with a toasted old fashion and a key lime how can the key lime be SO good?!?
