The food and service were generally fine. Many of us enjoyed the Summerliciouce menu. It was creative and well plated.
We dined as a group of 7 people.
The restaurant policy is that groups of 8 or more are subject to a built in gratuity.
Our group of 7 was charged with this same gratuity. It seemed excessive and was clearly not the policy of the place.
I appreciate that a service gratuity is expected, and we did not, at the time, contest this...

The Summerlicious menu had choices to suit a variety of tastes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and made sure that we were happy with the meal choices. Can't wait for Winterlicious.

As long as the owners are at the restaurant, food is consistently good. Everything is prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients. As a regular, I like the variety of the weekly menu specials offered. Food restrictions or preferences are accommodated by the kitchen. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto and I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with Barnsteiner's.🥂
