Disappointing - small portion sizes, big prices. Not for the financially faint of heart.
Got the Octopus, bone marrow, and lamb. The lamb was $68 and the smallest portion of lamb known to man. Was extremely disappointed. The Octopus and bone marrow were unremarkable.
The toffee / date pudding was fantastic (and very well priced).
Service and decor were lovely.

Everytime I go to Baro I have the absolute best time! The food is amazing, service is top notch and the vibes are always on point. Always looking forward to my next visit! PS if you’re looking to host an event, my bestfriend had her shower here and it was perfect! The rooftop is such a stunning space.

Was here for a company event and we're seated in the loft in the third floor. Dinner was served family style. Absolutely loved the steak, which was perfectly cooked, the cassava and plantain chips was lovely with the guac or in their own and the slaw had a nice kick. Bar and wait staffs were wonderful. The duck rice and churros were disappointing. Overall, we had a great evening.

Was here for a group event on the third floor. I loved the ceviche and broccolini. I don't eat steak but was told it was excellent by everyone. Drinks and vibe were great too. And given we were such a large group, staff were incredibly accommodating.

Our server Claudia is the sweetest and always made sure our bottomless mimosa needs were met! The vibes were immaculate, the food was delicious, what more can I ask for. The staff are really kind and attentive, once again 11/10. We are already plotting our next brunch visit 🙂↕️.

Baro was okay overall — nothing particularly special in terms of flavor. The grilled octopus leg was the best dish we tried, but still not something I’d return specifically for.
One thing that disappointed me was the seating. I reserved a table for 6:30 and arrived at 6:20, but was told I had to wait until 7:00, even though there were plenty of empty two-person tables available.
That said, the atmosphere is nice — stylish and great for date nights or drinks. Service was fine, but the food didn’t stand out enough for the price.

I visited the loft at Baro for an event (3rd floor). The vibe was a lot of brick and wood tones, I could see this being a good intimate wedding venue with long harvest tables. The bar servers were extremely nice. They had coat check as well, however that gentleman was less welcoming (just trying to get though the day I think). The microphone during speeches was a bit echo-y which made it a bit difficult to understand what they were saying at times. For the food, the salad was mid. Just missing flavour I guess? The steak and Potatoes were amazing - rich and complex in flavour, and generous portion size. Finally the dessert was good but I was too full from the previous courses to finish everything. The dinner service did take a while (2-3 hours to complete) which was my only complaint. They accommodated all dietary restrictions. Overall I enjoyed being at this venue for the event I attended.

We went by to celebrate a birthday on Friday evening. The customer experience was amazing here especially thanks to AGM, Krista (hopefully I have the name spelt right 😅)!
Beautiful restaurant and the food and service were both very good. Breakfast Parfait was very nice, as were the steak and eggs dishes and the guacamole was a big hit. Shakshuka was a bit of a disappointment, as was the coffee, which was strangely weak.

Baro completely surprised me in the best way. The moment you walk in, the place just feels alive, stylish without trying too hard, and an energy that sets the tone for a solid boys night out. The food was honestly fantastic. Every dish had real flavour, not just nice plating, and you can tell the kitchen actually cares about what they're putting out. If you go, definitely try the Eat Like Papi experience; it's the best way to taste all the Baro classics without overthinking the menu. The cocktails were just as impressive: balanced, creative, and genuinely good. The service stood out too. Everyone was friendly and on top of things without rushing us or hovering. It felt like they actually wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Overall, Baro delivered on everything: atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. It ended up being one of the best boys nights we've had in a while. Highly recommend.

The design and atmosphere are quite ordinary, lacking any distinctive features. My primary expectation was for the food, which unfortunately did not meet my hopes. The portion sizes were rather small, and the prices seemed a bit high. Overall, it did not feel like a worthwhile experience.

I had a great experience at Baro on King West. Our server was incredibly attentive and very careful with allergies. They even have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and the cassava fries were amazing. The sharing plates were delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly, and it was great being able to try so many options. Even when full, the restaurant felt intimate and never crowded. Highly recommend for coworkers or friends!
