Had a very enjoyable meal here with my family. It was nice seeing the chef come out to explain the menu and the dishes as they were being served which made you feel welcomed at the restaurant.

All the dishes were prepared beautifully and tasted great such as the souffle. We especially liked the duck confit dish. We will definitely visit again in the future!

One of the best meals I've had in Toronto. The vibe is emmaculate, servers and chef are great to chat with, and the food is incredible.

Get the duck, and ask the chef for his favourite wine today.

Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and wine!

Incredible cuisine, everything tasted authentic and made with passion. The chef himself came to greet us and made us drinks. Meanwhile the server was very professional and incredibly skilled. The atmosphere made us feel like we were in a little home diner in Lyon by the river with a very intimate and ambient environment. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pricing was very reasonable especially when you include drinks. And the food.... My god! Magnificent. The duck, the pork, the lamb, the potatoes, THE DESERTS! This is a deserving restaurant, with humble beginnings, and with a lot of passion and effort. Thank you chef and crew. Everyone and everything was wonderful.

I am blown away. The food was exquisite - and I don’t say that lightly, because French food can be tough to execute on the technical level. I ordered the soup and fish of the day, and was served what I’m pretty sure is the Platonic form of pea soup, texturally perfect monkfish in a Mediterranean-inspired sauce that actually had me excited about bitter greens, and a Grand Marnier soufflé that was absolutely worth the (pre-indicated) 20 minute wait. Plus a very respectable espresso. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting, the chef came out personally to check on the food quality, and the server was very polite and extremely efficient. I have no pictures of anything because he was also nice enough to let me plug my dying phone in behind the bar. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough.

Batifole offers a cozy atmosphere and exceptional French cuisine. I had the Cassolette D'Escargots, Monk Fish (Fish of the Day), Cassoulet Royal, Pan-Seared Scallops, and ended with a Soufflé—all dishes were outstanding, each packed with flavor and expertly prepared. The food truly shines, with highlights being the rich escargots and perfectly cooked seafood. The service is attentive, though it can be a bit slow when the restaurant is busy. Overall, a delightful dining experience that's worth the visit!

Batifole is a cozy hidden gem in Toronto's East end serving some of the best French cuisine in the city.

One of the best duck confits I’ve ever had. I would go there again for it. Other menus were okay.

My company and I ordered Cassolette d'Escargots (escargot soup), Cuisse de Canard Confite (duck confit) and Cassoulet Royal (pork belly, pork sausage, etc.).

It was my first time trying escargot soup l, so I was excited about it. But, it was just okay and I would rather have a classic oven baked escargot with herbs. The cassoulet royal was just okay as well. Nothing too fancy. However, duck confit was definitely a top notch that I would go there to have that again.

The servers were all very nice and attentive. The interior was cozy and felt like a little bistro in suburbs of France.

First time here, found the place because we came after a candlelight concert show that was held at the church around the block

Wonderful experience, I would love to come again and try more of their food

I had the duck confit, gratin dauphinois
Duck was unfortunately just alright, the gratin was awesome!

My friend had the fish of the day dish, and after seeing it I wish I had ordered it too, it was a white fish with diced olives
She loved it!

We also tried the lemon and olive oil canned sardines with crostini, it was good

Best part of the night, our server got wind that we were celebrating my birthday and brought out two flutes of Prosecco

We had that with a chocolate mousse dessert, the dessert was so good!

The servers were wonderful, welcoming and accommodating
And like other reviews mention, the chef came around, greeted us and checked in, that bit of hospitality was a nice touch

Much more to talk about like the great wine suggestion from the staff, but this review is long enough so I'll end it here

Absolutely fantastic food, particularly the cassoulet. Excellent service, too. Will have to come back to try the chocolate souffle!

Just visiting again last week, still the best and most authentic French cousin in the city.
