Had an awesome family lunch with our 5yr olds before heading to the ROM. Food was great (something for everyone), service was amazing!! They set us up very well to take our food into the picnic area across the street where we could eat our lunch on the rocks while enjoying some live music. Highly recommend for families going to the ROM.

Great affordable breakfast sandwich. Freshly made to order, delicious, cheap, friendly.... Why is it so hard to find this in Toronto?! Not trendy.... I don't want trendy prices for a simple breakfast sandwich. Thank you BBQ express for keeping it real.

Good food at a good price!
Two comments
1) the Korean rice dishes used larger rice grains instead of the traditional smaller ones
2) becareful with the spicy pork takeout box, the sauce spills easily!

Best place to get breakfast/brunch/lunch in yorkville. I've been coming here for YEARS and the food is so delicious. Young and Justin are also sooo lovely and kind - Pillars of the community!!
What a gem! The bibimbap is incredible here!
One of The best affordable sandwiches in the area, great variety of options to choose from, my favourite is egg bacon and cheese sandwich with hot sauce. Staff is pleasant and friendly, I highly recommend. Must try!!

Great BBQ Good fresh food good price very fast service nice people working there in Yorkville next to Bay subway station 2 minutes walk from Bloor Street recommended.
Please avoid. The food is just terrible. Ordered chicken souvlaki with rice. The chicken is old and dry with some weird colour and it tastes disgusting. They take a piece and cut it in half just to space it out to make it look like there is more. When I called the guy to tell him it’s not edible he hung up. I was sick to my stomach for the rest of the day. The owner is rude. And they have no idea how food is prepared
Just a legendary establishment
In New York a morning trip to a bodega is a slightly waning option and here in T.O. that possibility essentially doesn't exist. Of course to my surprise, nestled right on the doorstep of high end purse retailers and clothing retailers with restos grafted on is one such remaining Toronto bodega. BBQ Express is a tiny room that can fit five people on a cold winter day that churns out extremely well priced hearty dishes to those in the know.
We were in for breakfast (mind you considerably past midday) so a set of filling sandwiches were the choice but clearly bowls of Bibimbap, Bulgogi and Souvlaki are favourites. Drop the snooty attitude necessary for the spots two streets north and enjoy a vision of work persons takeout that would have looked the same two decades ago. Really quality choice, just definitely slide the door all the way closed in the winter.
Hamburger is crazy good for the price
