Still the best lechon for me. We’ve been coming here since the 90’s. Even when I lived in Ohio for 20 years. Still go there now that I’m back. Too bad that mang Bernard’s health has not been good due to age at 91 and bad health for a long while now.

I had high hopes for the lechon we ordered from Bernard pilipino Specialties. We picked up the lechon, it was ready on time and the aroma was Devine. We arrived an hour later and were ready to eat with the guests for birthday celebration. Right away we began to cut the lechon . We noticed that the skin was puffed and crunchy from mid back to nose. However from mid back to tail was not crispy. The lechon was well seasoned and delicious. I can still recommend to a friend.

so ordering lechon here was very complicated. Waited for 1 hour and found out that nothing and blamed the owner for his geriatric status. Staff lady was just laughing of the situation.

We got a whole lechon for thanksgiving. For ~$120 it is an amazing value. You can stop in and get smaller amounts as well (~$8/lb). Be sure to let them know a week in advance if you want the whole pig. Great homey-vibe to the place, it is our go-to for lechon near downtown.
