Biff's Bistro is one of the best bistros in Toronto. The food is always excellent with a great selection of classics. Our server, Katerina (Kate) was kind and helpful and all of the staff we met were professional and friendly. We were a table of eight celebrating a birthday and our food was served together and every dish was excellent. We tried the chicken liver pate, escargot, steak and coq a vin. A memorable experience and we look forward to our next visit.
We started with the oysters which were very good. Then I had the samon and my friend had the cod. Both were so delicious. Always a favourite spot.
Onion Soup was excellent. Worth the walk. Staff was welcoming and friendly and helpful while still being unobtrusive. Ambience and noise level was perfect for allowing easy conversation. We would definitely dine again
We had to correct bill. Waiter forgot to charge correctly for buck a shuck oysters and originally billed about $70.
The food was very good - nothing fancy, just good food cooked well. The steaks for main course were perfectly cooked, and the sauce and the accompanying vegetables were great.
Best boeuf bourgignon I ever tasted. Had salad instead of mashed potatoes to avoid dairy. Simple and delicious. Wine was pricey (and also delicious). Check the price before you order. I didn't check, just asked for a glass of pinot, my mistake.
Haven't been to Biff's since before the reno and I can't say enough good things about my most recent experience. Ambiance ad servce were great but the food were out of this world! Oysters were super fresh, the scallop crudo was so unique and tasted amazing, mussels were great but the Tournedos Rossini was the star of the show! The flavours just explode in your mouth- best dish I've had in a very long time!
The food was absolutely delicious and because we were there around five, there was happy hour prices on the wine, which was very good value so the value for our money was great! However, the over enthusiastic older male server ruined the experience. He yelled in my ear as he was running by that he would be right there to serve us. Meanwhile, the hostess was only just seating us. I actually heard him bully the five ladies beside us that they had to put their order in right away. Coming from a restaurant background I know that was so that he can flip his tables and make more money in tips. Those ladies had plenty of time to relax and order, and still make their event which was only across the street The menus were placed on top of the cutlery on the table, which was very unsanitary. I would only go back if I did not have him as my server.
We were there for the Thanksgiving dinner and we know exactly how busy holiday nights can get. With that being said, the service was fast, attentive, and exceptional, making the entire evening very enjoyable. Our server, Hugo, was amazing, he made sure to accommodate all our needs. Food was SO good! I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner. Great restaurant. Delicious food. Highly attentive service in a great environment

Everything was perfect except for the family with the uncontrolled screaming boy. Unfortunately we were in the booth beside them and had difficulty hearing each other talk over his screams.
We were there for the Thanks Giving pre set menu. It was a difficult month for our family and this should have made it easier. It was very plain, very ordinary, nothing special at all. We were sat and informed that we could "pick" and "choose" from the pre set menu or the reg menu. when it came down to placing our order, we were met with a bunch on "no's". You can't do this, with that or from this menu to that menu, you will be charged "A La Carte" for each dish... no! Very unclear, and the turkey dinner was very "Food Court" bland and boring. Not a hint of anything savoury in the stuffing, the turkey was like a turkey football that was slices in uneven portions and the gravy was minimal, a few table spoons per plate. Roasted potatoes were bland, and just ok. Service wasn't attentive other then when it was time for the bill. First time, last time, maybe before a game for a quick bite and a pint? Not or us, plain and un forgetful, won't be thankful for this experience. Happy Thanks Giving.
We went in for their Thanksgiving dinner and it was very disappointing. I specifically asked if the turkey was carved from the bird or if it was a manufactured turkey breast. I was assured it was sliced from a turkey......it was not, it was a turkey roll which was my fear in the first place. Given our time restrictions I just accepted it. It was terrible!! It tasted nothing like a real turkey dinner. The turkey was processed, the stuffing was warm bread with zero flavor which made sense since they didn't use real turkey and traditionally mashed is served with turkey but this time roasted potatoes were served. They were fine but again not traditional turkey dinner. Service was good but it was odd that the restaurant asked when I was making a reservation if there was a special occasion which I said it was my daughter in laws birthday but they didn't do anything special. Why ask?? It was a disappointment to say the least.
Our waiter was terrific! Food was good . The noise levels were really high! We were four seniors, three of whom were wearing hearing aids! When booking and upon arrival I requested a quiet table. We ended up seated in amongst the very noisy group!
Biff's is a great place for a nice dinner with friends. Excellent food & service - five stars!
