As usual, Bindia delivered above and beyond. The food was superb. And it didn't hurt that excellent weather allowed us to sit outside. But the staff remembered my previous visit when I said that the music indoors was rather loud, and said this time that they were pleased to see that I was not deterred permanently from coming back to Bindia. Sweet and thoughtful. Thank you !
I'm sorry the food was sooooo mid 😠a few ppl recommended me but it was overpriced and barely had any flavour or spice ( when we asked for medium-spicy)
Service was kinda slow too
Kinda disappointed, the location and aesthetic is great

Never been here before. We had an early reservation so the restaurant was not busy. The menu had enough choices but not so it was overwhelming. Starters were the samosas and crab cakes. Our mains were mint korma and lamb bhuna served with aside of rice and freshly made butter naan, everything was hot and fresh, and presented nicely. The butter naan was delicious!
Nice location and beautiful view. Honestly the food wasn't it for me. Both my friends biryani hardly had alot of meat or flavour or much going on I feel. And the portions were quite small which I guess might not be a big deal but I feel that I've had more flavorful beautiful and bigger portion Indian food for the same price else where.
Oh but they do accommodate to big groups well so that's nice! They can still do separate bills!

The food here is always incredible and the service is also always great. We keep bringing out of town guests here and are never disappointed.
The prices listed on the OpenTable app were not updated, and although the app indicated that happy hours were ongoing, we were informed at the restaurant that they were currently on pause.
**Bindia Indian Bistro** in downtown Toronto (near St. Lawrence Market) is a chic spot offering modern Indian cuisine with dishes like Butter Chicken, Tandoori Prawns, Lamb Chops, and creative options such as Masala Fish Tacos. They also offer a decent range of vegetarian dishes, which makes it easy for groups like ours with mixed preferences to find something enjoyable. With its stylish décor, friendly service, and seasonal patio, Bindia is a polished choice for a special night out or group gathering.

This was our first time to Bindia and it will not be our last. Like traditional Indian food, the heat was layered behind multiple savoury flavours. The pakora made with chick pea flour were fantastic and it was great to see Papadums on the menu. I have walked past Bindia every day for years and can't wait to go back for another Indian feast!
Too noisy with music and then turned up - we couldn't hear ourselves talk. Slow bringing tea and cleaning table.
Restaurantji Recommends
Been to Bindia a couple of times now and the food has been consistently solid. The only downside was the service, which felt a bit unprofessional and slow. Ambiance was decent.
- Hara Bhara Kebab – 9/10
This was the absolute star of the appetizers. Flavorful, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and served beautifully with salad in a bowl. The only downside? Just two kebabs. Not ideal for sharing and kind of feels like a tease because it’s so good. But I keep going back for it anyway, that’s how tasty it is.
- Chicken 65 – 6.5/10
It was decent. Nothing wrong with it, just didn’t wow me. Could’ve been spicier or had more bold flavor. Probably wouldn’t order again just because there are so many other good things to try.
- Butter Chicken – 10/10
Creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. This is comfort food at its best. Would totally recommend.
- Paneer Tikka Masala – 9/10
Great flavor, paneer was soft and nicely grilled, and the sauce was packed with depth. Definitely a solid veg option.
- Masala Chai – 7/10
Flavor-wise it was nice and had all the right spices, but it came unsweetened. I prefer it with sugar already added, so it felt a bit plain to me. If you like your chai feeki, this might be for you though.
- Naan (Plain, Garlic, and Butter) – 9/10
All three were great. Soft, buttery, and perfect for scooping up all the saucy dishes. No complaints here, just yum.
- Cocktail & Mocktail –
I don’t remember the exact names, but one had sugar, mint, and lime, and the other was kind of like a mojito. The mojito-style drink was definitely the winner. Super refreshing and paired well with the food.
Would return for the food, but hoping the service improves.

Not just fav Indian place but one of the top restaurants we have ever eaten at. Food is always a minimum of great and often ridiculously delicious. Best spicy drinks ever and their naan is up there with the good ones.

Excellent Indian restaurant in all aspects. We sat out on the deck with beautiful fresh fresh flowers, Service was attentive and friendly. And the food was uniformly excellent. We don't like spicy and when we requested mild they actually listened. Highly recommend!

Updated because review posted was old. We still eat at Bindia regularly. The food is always fantastic. Always. No exceptions. The staff is wonderful too. I'm so glad this wonderful restaurant is in my neighbourhood. We dine in and take out.
