Extremely surprised about this Find - A True Neighborhood Gem!
Was headed to a concert at the Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, and needed to find a place to eat. Google Maps pointed to a Bistro at 561 Avenue Road - North of St. Clair.
As we walked up the East side of the street, all we could see were apartment buildings, when we happened upon this Italian Bistro on the bottom floor of the apartment building at 561 Avenue Road.
Hello? This restaurant has been here for 30 years? WOW!!!
Each course of our dinner was 'Simple Perfection'.
Presentation was Perfect. Food was Outstanding. Wonderful Service. Only wish is that we would've found this Gem earlier. Reservations are recommended.

Bistro Five61 is a gem of a restaurant in Midtown Toronto. The food and service are excellent. The servers George and Pamela were very attentive and the timing and pace of the meal was spot on. The owner and chef himself is exceptionally kind and gracious.

One of the few places in Toronto where one can get a truly healthy meal without sacrificing taste or atmosphere. We had roasted cauliflower soup and chicken stir fry. Both delicious.

Had our 3rd meal at eatery on 61 and it was fabulous. They have an amazing CHEF. Yes not a cook but a chef who makes everything from scratch. The hamburger with onion jam was amazing. The chef is also a baker and I ordered tiramisu for my nieces birthday next Saturday Can’t wait. This is a hidden gem. Try it out!!!

Wnt for lunch for the first time with colleagues. Tiny little place in an apartment building of all things, with maybe 10 tables and a cozy atmosphere. The maitre d / server was attentive and the food was great! I'll be taking my husband and daughter there.
