A place to go when you forgot to make reservations everywhere else. We were truly shocked that we were able to get a table here for a large group on a Friday night. When our food was delivered 80 mins after ordering it became clear why. The restaurant took responsibility for the long wait and comped us a few meals and wine so Im giving it 3 stars. The food was ok. Service was ok.

A beautiful place with warm, polished service. It seems like a gem hiding in plain site, as it was not very busy on a Thursday night.Lovely cocktails and a well-chosen wine list that offers enough options while not overwhelming guests with too much choice.I really enjoyed the two specials I had. I started with burrata on frisée and blood orange salad. Perfect with a French 75 cocktail. My main was Tournedos Rossini topped with foie gras. Absolutely gorgeous. It paired really well with Domaine Queylus VQA Pinot Noir 2019. I highly recommend this restaurant. There is a private room here, and if I ever need to host an event, I will definitely consider booking it at this restaurant.

I love the restaurants and bars on Ossington Avenue and this restaurant just became my favorite place here as it can satisfy my adventurous appetite.Finding parking can be tricky at times as there are limited street parkings available; or you can park in parking garages close by and walk to the restaurant. They offer coat check, which is really helpful during wintertime. The chef is very welcoming and spends time at customers’ table to help them order. We were a group of 12 people who ordered appetizers, mains and of course lots of drinks. They offer half price wine bottles on Tuesday nights. They offer variety of veggie and meat options from lamb, seafood (octopus, lobster, scallops), venison, beef and rabbit.I strongly recommend trying their Grilled Spanish Octopus, Ontario Rack of Venison, Venison Tartare and Lobster & Scallop Bol-au-Vent. Definitely worth trying.

Truly exceptional dining experience. The best tasting food I’ve had in a very long time. The escargot and octopus appetizers were phenomenal. The rack of lamb was equally delicious. Definitely not a cheap date night, but you get what you pay for, and we were beyond thrilled with every aspect of the meal.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner here Saturday night. The atmosphere was elegant yet unpretentious, a nice space that feels like a well curated art gallery meets a good friends place.People seemed happy and relaxed there. Our server Stuart was excellent. My partner and I were impressed by his menu knowledge and knowledge of my partners list of food sensitivity’s and how they would effect each dish. Stuart took these notes to Chef, who created a dish that was delicious, thoughtful and well presented. We had:To start: The Venison Tartare which paired nicely with the Pear Salad ( total hit, would come back even just for these dishes)For mains:I had the Rabbit Cannoli, the portion was so generous that I took half of it home for the next day.My man had the steak which usually comes with fries (that looked delicious) however due to his food sensitivity, chef paired it with the artichoke which was incredible! We paired the entire meal with the Brut by the glass, which was refreshing and not too sweet.Anyway, highly recommend this place! We will be backOh, yeah, the hostess was excellent and a woman named Emily came by just to see how everything was, I believe she is the manager, and had a very nice way about here!Dietary restrictions: Night Shade and Celiac

I’m writing this review because I have seen this restaurant on Ossington for the past 4 years and every time I was like I should try this out, it looks nice and fancy and popular but I wish I never disappointed myself.I booked a table for two on opentable.ca for valentine’s day. There were two options:1)prix-fixe menu for $80/pp2) a la carteI chose a la carte because I didn’t like the courses on prix-fixe menu.We showed up at 9pm where we were told the table is not ready and they’re behind their schedule and we could choose to sit at the bar or the big table with others. So we chose to sit at the bar and told them we’d wait for a table to free up.15minutes later we had a table. The tables were arranged so close to each other that we could not walk around them without touching other tables or jackets or people (and we’re not overweight), I know they need to make money and all that but this is not a bar only and giving the customer some personal space is respectful and professional. The server told us that they only have the prix-fixe menu for the night, when I said I clearly booked a la carte menu the manager got involved and apologized for the confusion that they believed was opentable.ca fault and she offered free wine menu if we decided to stay which was nice. So we stayed just because it was 9:30pm on Valentine’s day and there was no way we could find any restaurants to have us at that time without reservations. The courses came in and it was disappointment after disappointment served on plates ?We liked Kapocha squash soup tho. But the rest? Terrible! Imagine bringing customer rare steak without even asking them if they want it rare. I remember they used to ask people how well done they want their steak, isn’t it like that anymore?I don’t even want to talk about appetizers and the stinky fish. We got to a point that we didn’t eat half of appetizers and didn’t touch the main course and didn’t order dessert; we paid +$200 for the experience and left the restaurant! What a romantic valentines day dinner, eh?!To be fair, the employees are polite and nice but my experience was simply awful.

This place is amazing, love the presence of the owner on the floor because the attention to detail is there. The food was amazing, the server was new but there were multiple senior servers that were continually checking on us to ensure things were good. My only negative is that we requested a specific table due to it being our anniversary and that being the table we had our first date on and it wasn't met... Very very easy request to grant given the early reservation time, and the dozens of empty tables that the prior table could've been sat at to ensure it was free for us - from an operational stand point and having ran multiple multi multi million dollar venues in my past... This is a managerial oversight. None the less this is still 5 stars, must experience place IMO.

My friend and I got sat for our reservation at 8pm. We were then clearly forgotten which honestly didn't bother us too much as we were catching up anyways. Finally the manager had noticed we hadn't been served yet so they both came up to us quite awkwardly and not really knowing what was going on. The waiter then introduced himself and said " I'll be back in a couple minutes to take your drink order". We waited a few more minutes then finally got to order our drinks. We continued chatting but became pretty impatient with the wait time when I looked at my phone and it was 8:35pm. We had gotten sat at 8pm and still had zero drinks or food orders taken from us 35 minutes later. When our drinks came the server put them both in front of my friend which we found kind of odd but no big deal. We then had to wave the manager over to take our food order. We ordered the half chicken and the steak frites. She asked us if we wanted to add fries to the steak which was bizarre since it's literally called steak frites..The entire experience felt very messy and forgotten. The food was great but unfortunately couldn't make up for the service ( with the exception of Danielle the host who was absolutely lovely)

The food was better than I expected. We had steak frites, beet salad and escargot. Very flavourful. The service was good but not as friendly as we like( Just personal preference. Some people don’t want to get to know their server)This place has a lot going for it but….Just a small thing! We ordered bread(which was very good) but we asked for more butter and they charged $2 for the butter. Seems a little nit picky when you’re spending $180 for 2 in a nice restaurant. They should reconsider this policy. It’s not a good look for a nice restaurant.I really recommend this place and will go back. Good food and a good time!!!!

Everything about this restaurant was perfect. The service from Ethan was impeccable, serving us unreal cocktails while still knowing exactly what was in the dishes we ordered. The food was unbelievable and cooked/prepared to perfection. We had the venison tartare, burgundy escargot, veal tenderloin special, cassoulet, lemon meringue tart, chocolate pistachio orb, and several cocktails (some from the menu, and some from Ethan's own creativity). I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food, service, and atmosphere was top notch and I would not hesitate coming back here again for several occasions.
