A bit of a wait time, since we visited at a busy time. The service was very friendly and a nice atmosphere overall. Food was good, but we enjoyed the appetisers (gyōza and karaage) more than the main dishes. Big variety on the menu and interesting cocktails.

A Chinese woman is so rude. The basic kindness of a restaurant. She have forgotten. I hope a Chinese woman will be polite to Japanese restaurants

Vegetarian miso ramen was uninspired. The tofu was straight out of the box, there were almost no mushrooms, and the whole dish looked very bland without vegetables.

Kinton Ramen, Ajisen Ramen, and Afuri Ramen are all significantly better for a lower price.

At least the drinks were good - the Ting and the Brunette.

Honestly, my experience here was BAD. We came on a Saturday afternoon during the Christmas market season, so it was pretty busy. We put our name on an iPad, and the wait was about 45 minutes.

When we were seated we had to share a table (we were a group of 5). The servers kept mixing us up, literally 10 seconds after we paid she forgot. They also charged us an automatic 20% service fee without letting us know first, no word of it at all, I found that to be dishonest.

My friend and I got the tonkotsu ramen. It was so strange, the noodles were not ramen noodles at all, but Chinese flour noodles. The broth was not rich and tasted like plain bland pork broth. My friend's pork belly slices tasted like it had gone bad. Prices were also on the high end for ramen.

My other friends got a salad and eel on rice.
There were also only 2 washrooms so the lineup was really long.

I don't recommend this spot... And my friends agreed

This place is the most non-baby friendly place ever!

Place has one baby seat. I asked the host to have a bigger table instead and she just shrugged me off. I told her that our baby was literally seated on the ground, she clearly didn’t care.

Super rude and inconsiderate hostess! They need to train their staff on how to handle this kind of situation, because she clearly doesn’t know how to 🤷‍♂️. What a way to ruin our Christmas dinner

Definitely a No-go if you have kids lol

Kid-friendliness: Not at all

Wheelchair accessibility: Non-existent

This cozy restaurant in Distillery offers delicious Japanese and similar fare. The atmosphere within is brightened by colorful parasols hung upside down from the ceiling over the dining area. Service was pleasant and attentive, and my group's meals were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the unagi don - a must-try if you like eel! Friends loved the spicy ramen and beef teriyaki.

Went there during the Christmas market, ramen is super overpriced for the quality they have. My girlfriend ordered the 35$ seafood ramen, it had 2 shrimps and one little squid piece, not to mention it doesn't look nothing like the picture in the menu.

15 dollars for fried brie for that portion is CRAZY. The photo is the actual portion before we had it and it was very weak and flavourless. Also the girl that fried them was very rude and had a horrible attitude despite us being very nice.

Right in the heart of the distillery district. Great selection of food and drinks at fair prices (slightly higher than average but that’s what you can expect at such a high traffic area). Interior is nice with kind staff and efficient service. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a spot to eat in the district.

Service was standard, no issues there. We were seated quite quickly! Ambiance was cozy and though busy, it wasn't too noisy to the point of having to yell. Food was near perfect. I think the ramen could have been slightly warmer, but the broth was rich, creamy, and flavourful nonetheless. We ordered two Christmas combos. Pictured is the black garlic ramen, takoyaki and edamame. These are not the only options you can choose for the combo. For drinks, you could choose Sapporo, Kaiun, hot tea or pop. Still going to give 5 stars!

We are back to the winter market. I feel the same about the foods and service. Happy Holidays Boku, kudos.

First time in, enjoy the festive holiday moods at the Winter Village at the distillery district, I am happy to find Asian foods restaurant, we ordered Black Garlic oiled Ramen, age dashi Tofu, scallops crudo, salmon tatake. They are tasty and down to earth comfort foods done well. Service was proactive, and pleasant. Challenging to find parking, we found a spot on King street East at Parliament on street. I will go back again any day. Nice place to get out of the cold. Kudos to staff and owner operators.
