Boom Breakfast & Co. St. Clair Ave. West

Used to love Boom but haven’t been back since before covid. Went there at 9am on a weekday expecting quick & easy cause we have two toddlers. Food took 35 mins despite the place being empty. By the time it arrived my kids were donezo. We had to rush to eat and get out of there. I paid for 90 mins of parking thinking it would be more than enough and I was wrong. Food was dry—probably sat under the heat lamp for a while. I’d love to give this place another chance but I’ll have a hard time convincing anyone else in my family to repeat that experience.

Kid-friendliness: In our experience, the long wait with nothing for them to do made it not very kid friendly. We usually bring stuff but we expected this place to be fast so it felt unnecessary.

Waited for a bit for our food. I am allergic to fruit. Next time I will ask for none on my plate. Not your guy's fault, I should have asked.
Eggs were tasty, coffee was good. The farmers sausage was delightful. (I am T2D I get to panicked when I wait longer for food. Hahaha)

Very disappointed with my overall experience at boom a few weeks ago. Came to celebrate my birthday but definitely should’ve gone anywhere else. The service was awful, constantly looking for our server Isabel who was no where to be found half the time even though there were only a couple tables. Food came after 40 minutes and it definitely matched the service. The steak came well well done even though we asked for med rare and everything was just bad. Our server didn’t even do a quality check so we couldn’t say anything. When she finally did come around we let her know and she told us “next time when you get it you should cut it in half and let me know right away”, well we would’ve but she was no where to be found.

I went for breakfast on my birthday, July 1st, Canada Day. Isabel welcomed us with a huge smile and made my day worthwhile with all her friendliness and contagious joy she sang happy birthday to me and offered me a dessert as it was my birthday, at the end she even made some very cute drawings on the invoice. Thank you very much once again Isabel, you made my day much better!
The food was also delicious!

Went today with my husband and child
Isabel was my server, as she told us if we were ready to order we said yes but did not hear us, then we called her again and said “I told you if your were ready or not and you didn’t say anything I don’t like that” so from the start I knew it wasn’t going good I asked if there was another server but she said not, she then proceeded to judge what I ordered (a coke) and laughed, she didn’t write down how I wanted to order my eggs which i repeatedly told her, more than 2 times, she didn’t bring our drinks as she said “oh i completely forgot about you” mind you we went at 12, not a lot of people.
As we headed out my husband went to pay and I told him not to tip because of her attitude from the start but he gave her $5 as our bill was $55, when he gave her the $5 dollar bill she made a disgust face expression.
This is the worst experience I’ve had here, as I come here often with my family.

This was the first time for me n my brother (whom was visiting from Victoria BC) eating at Booms..Nice atmosphere Great Breakfast n our waitress Isabel was absolutely a Joy?Nice Smile,Energetic not only was her service Great but one of the Best Servers I've Ever Experienced ?%..Will Definitely Be Making Boom My GO To Breakfast Place?

Went back today. Only 1 person working in the front. We waited 15 minutes no service. Went to the front to order, Grace snapped at my wife. We won’t be returning.

The food was very good. However, the waitress was pushing me to order. She asked many times if I had already decided what to eat, it was so annoying. On the second time I was there, she told me to pay as soon as I finished eating. When I gave her tip, she commented with an irony that I gave her too little. So rude.

The waitress hurried us too much to order, finish eating and pay, and complained about the tip. She was unpolite the two times I was there. We don't want to go back there.

This place used to be solid, but the prices have increased and the quality has gone down. My girlfriend ordered their bagel+lox and it was basically a grocery store bagel. My burger was also really underwhelming.
