WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF CELIAC Gluten free toast on the menu but no communication from the server about the potato wedges being breaded and not gluten free. would have appreciated more communication from staff considering we asked about the gluten free options
specifically.

October 19, 2025. We have been back to Boom many times over the past several years. Have tried other breakfast/lunch restaurants but none compare to the QUALITY of the food. Always so fresh and plentiful. Excellent service and friendly vibe. Love it here ! We were there this morning and my granddaughter always loves the food. As does her dad. Thank you again Boom. Yummm !

Just thought I’d chime in about my experience at Boom Breakfast at the College Street location. I have been to all of the locations and today I decided to go to College. What a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was attentive and always smiling. My food, as usual was delicious. I love the Eggs Florentine - but today I felt like having the Banana Granola pancakes. So delicious ! My grand daughter loves them too. Such a great place to have breakfast or lunch. We are back on Sunday !! See you soon Boom !!! Thanks again!!!

I definitely won't go back to this place, nor do I recommend it.
I was there today for breakfast, and the service from the blonde-haired waitress was rude. I started to think it was racist because I realized she was quite friendly with the table next to me! I saw some reviews about the poor service, and yes, I can confirm it.

Food is good, service is terrible. Today I went in to order takeout and the lady was so rude I had to walk out, she didn’t apologize or try to mend things - she just chuckled and let me leave. Another time my girlfriend and I dined in, the food was fine but when I asked for the bill the waitress asked me how much I was giving her for a tip - it caught me off guard so I asked her for the machine to pay and then she asked me for to tip cash so it can go straight to her instead of kitchen. Then she asked me again how much I was tipping her so I told her $5. She then had the audacity to tell me that wasn’t enough and after I payed cash she took a $10 tip from my change back and I had to confront her about it - the manager asked what happened and I let her know that my waitress knew what she did. My assumption is that she didn’t think I would tip because I’m a younger black guy but I’ve been eating here since I was a boy (grew up at college ossington) but after today ~attempting to get takeout met with the snarkiest attitude. I think that’s going to close this 20 year chapter with boom breakfast. Food is good though, service is probably good if you don’t look like me but if you do look like me, give another place a chance

Get the moon omelette, it brought tears of joy to my eyes. The frites are also deliciously seasoned and the waitress was really friendly and attentive

The staff were really friendly. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious and so were the waffles sorry I forgot to take the photo

This was the only disappointing food experience on my trip to Toronto

We ordered different types of toast, we both got the same and we're not sure if it was the rye or white. It was dense, yeasty, and poorly toasted.

The sausage was undercooked, and went partly uneaten. The turkey bacon cost $6 and was only two unevenly cooked strips.

The eggs were a lazy sunnyside up, cooked together overdone on the bottom but still undercooked on the top.

The BOOM frites were just frozen, seasoned potato wedges. Hardly worthy of a special name.

Coffee was good.

All in all, we paid over $40 for crap food. Afterwards, we went to A&W on the corner to get something worth eating.

$5.99 mon-thursday special is absolute crazy value! Probably the only of its type left in the city. Service was great and the space is very clean and the atmosphere is warm. Hit the spot!

Bad customer service. I went in for coffee and the lady looked me up and down and decided she didn’t want me there. Lol. Sis I just woke up and came in from coffee. Treat people with respect. Very snobby, so I went next door to starving artist and I was greeted with friendliness and asked if I wanted to sit in. Plus the coffee here is much better.
