Fantastic cafe hidden in an alleyway. Cool decor, good coffee, and friendly service. One of my favourite coffee places in the city.

Boxcar Beautiful…as always! Respect to people who bet on architecturally challenging locations and make beautiful concepts out of them !

I ordered decaf flat white, but the espresso was too acidic and the milk form was like cappuccino 🥲
Barista was nice and friendly.

This was the COZIEST cafe I’ve been to. It was perfect for reading.

I tried their Strawberry Matcha drink and it was delicious.

Will definitely come back again to relax.

Laneway Boxcar Social has three distinct rooms, each with different soundscape and esthetic.
A new August brunch menu and well prepared drinks and coffee are on offer.

Really excellent coffee. Got an oat milk latte and a strawberry latte. Both were amazing. The kouign aman was weirdly like a donut and didn’t have good lamination. So just coffee, no pastries

Great coffee and pastries. Great atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable. Nicely decorated and a turntable with for everyone to enjoy. Very friendly staff and quick with your order. Clean facility and clean washrooms. Like the artwork inside. Lots of items you can buy to go. Free WiFi.

Hidden and unique space in the city! What a vibe. It truly feels like a getaway the moment you step in, with fresh plants, artsy books, and classic records tastefully scattered across the shelves. The staff are super nice and drinks delish. 6/5 would come again.

Great little coffee shop with smoothies. Very limited food so a star off for that but the breakfast cookie we had was great.

A beautiful café with friendly service and great coffee in a tucked-away place that feels like a secret. Hidden inside is a gorgeous café with an unmatched atmosphere. On my recent visit, I got a pour-over that was fantastic. The carafe was enough for two small cups, and the flavour was nice. The atmosphere here is great. I could sit here all day. There are a couple of different sections to sit in, all beautiful.

Had a really great experience this morning. First time having drip coffee and it was really good! The barista answered the litany of questions I had about the coffee and the drip process, very patient with me. The knowledge and care he took to brew the coffee and explain the process was appreciated. Although I got the coffees to go, the atmosphere is somewhere I'd definitely hang out in. Very chill vibe, good music, nice ambience.

Hidden gem in the neighborhood. Friendly girl at the counter. Americano coffee was bold and delicious. Ham and cheese croissant was also great, make sure to have them heat it up, a few more minutes in the oven would’ve been perfect. Great experience!

Funky new location. I love a hidden place! I also love that there are two rooms….one with music/louder vibe and a second room that is quiet for reading or talking with a friend. I had a matcha latte and my partner had an americano. FYI: they don’t offer cream, only whole milk. I think that is becoming more commonplace in a lot of coffee shops these days.
