For an establishment claiming to be operating since 1991, they need to realise that it’s now 2025 where the average quality of Indian food in Toronto is a lot higher with much stiffer competition, especially in this neighbourhood.
I got the Paneer Paratha and the Shahi Paneer.
Granted that the Paneer Paratha look visually larger than usual, the Paratha seemed to be shortchanged by containing a mix of refined flour (maida) with whole wheat flour (aata). Honestly, I think instant parathas taste better with crispier textures too. Moreover, the dahi served with the paratha was a heavily diluted dahi boondi.
The Shahi Paneer did not have any form of buttery taste, it had an overwhelming flavour of tomato puree. Moreover, for a medium shahi paneer, I could count the number of Paneer pieces with a single hand.
We are regulars at a neighbouring budget North Indian eatery in this plaza, we decided to give Indian Pakwan a chance but to no avail. It’s such a pity that the food tasted subpar, although the staff were friendly.
Mind you, it’s a total of $25 for 2 Butter Naan + Medium Shahi Paneer (with barely 6pieces of Paneer cubes) + 1 Paneer Paratha with diluted dahi boondi. Yes, portions can be big but that’s a huge game of quantity over quality.

This food was super delicious! I loved the options that were available and everything was soooo yummy! I have food allergies (nuts and sesame) and they were reassuring about the menu items that I could eat. I also used the washrooms and they were very clean and bright. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick, affordable and scrumptious vegetarian meal, I’d definitely check it out.
