Such a doughy and poorly assembled bagel with smoked salmon that was so fishy. Probably the worst I’ve ever had.

Our server was so irritated that we were a group and was so surprised we had multiple orders. There were six of us and somehow I felt like we were an imposition.

I should have made a better choice rather than risking smoked salmon.

Excellent soup, sandwiches and desserts here! The staff are amazing and the spot is wonderful. It can get busy in waves but when it is chill, it's so cozy and enjoyable.

It's a decent spot to relax while shopping. Average Food could use some work.
Pricey ($3 for a small can of Perrier)

I used to love your chocolate almond croissant, but over the past few months I’ve been surprised by how much the size has shrunk! It’s getting smaller and smaller—now it’s almost the size of a cookie. Could you please return to the standard size?

Was there for lunch this week and used women’s washroom. Unfortunately it smelled of urine and also it needs a deep cleaning. Needs bleaching of the caulking around the sink. And cleaning if the floor by the toilet. The small two shelf “dresser” on the floor needs a good cleaning also. Overall felt icky.

Croissant hard as a rock. Cake dry. Food looked great from the window but seemed really old and stale when you tasted it. Everything was tossed.

I've been coming to Bread and Roses since I was little and it never disappoints! Delicious food of great variety, kind and friendly staff, and a charming, cozy atmosphere. It's a true gem of the Bloor West Village neighborhood!

The turkey sandwich was delicious with cranberry sauce and great atmosphere and original paintings on the walls from local artists.

However I tasted plastic in the hot crossed bun today. It was the best hot crossed bun ever until the second to last bite! Cherry on top, frosting, nuts, raisins, sooo good! Then bam! The taste of styrofoam and I even burped a bit after and it was that same packing peanut smell.

So 3 stars—best food ever but for 1 bite that was the worse ever.

I’ve been coming to bread and roses for over 20 years. I found that their products have minimized their sandwiches (Pricy) like the turkey sandwich the bread has gotten small the protein has also become less you’re eating bread with lettuce and tomato. where is the turkey? Evening the pickles have shrunk for the price you are charged you should get your monies worth .

Came here with my friend who lives around the area. I live all the way from Scarborough but I won’t mind coming back again. The place is calming, the service is great, and of course, the food is excellent!

Great sandwiches made to order, and the soups are good, too. And the baked items. And the prices. Thumbs-up!
