Staff are a little hostile when you ask about gluten free so as a celiac let me advise you to stay clear

The chocolate cake didn't have any cocoa taste in it (I can only taste flour), and the chocolate frosting was too sweet. Seems like cheap ingredients were used.

Fantastic pastries and lunch — I recommend their sandwiches or quiche! Nice place to go catch up with friends or study.

Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian sandwiches and quiche and soup.

I came this morning 10 minutes before opening wanting to purchase a couple of boxes of pastries for my coworkers on my way to work. I waited until 07:55 and then gently knocked on the glass door. The three women inside behind the counter all completely ignored me. That 5 min meant something to me as I was on the verge of being late for work and out of the three only one woman was placing trays of baked goods on shelves, the other two were just watching her. If they don't unlock doors before 8 am (a pretty late start for a bakery if you ask me) they could of at least smiled and said Sorry! Not even 5 min earlier but the way they just robotically ignored me really put me off this place for good.

Longtime repeat customer here. I was just in the shop, waiting patiently for a sandwich to be made while a succession of customers behind me were served and cashed out. At one point, I asked the cashier (gently and politely) if I could pay for my food once she was finished with the current customer. She barked, “I’m still serving!” And then proceeded to walk away and serve the next customer behind me. I always do my best to patronize local small business, but I’ll be taking mine elsewhere from now on, thank you.

After a walk in High Park, nothing is better than a tasty meal , sandwich or pastry to wrapped up the day.

This bakery is an absolute gem and deserves every one of its five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The sweet bread selection is incredible and always fresh, making it hard to choose just one. They also bake and cook delicious sandwiches that are perfect for a quick lunch or a satisfying snack.

The coffee here is simply outstanding, with the latte being the best drink on the menu—rich, creamy, and perfectly brewed. Their soup of the day is always a delightful surprise, consistently delicious and heartwarming.

What truly sets this place apart is the friendly staff. They go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant experience every time you visit. Highly recommended!

Amazing old school cafe. BLT was up there with the best I have ever had. Really good black coffee (just $2) and an addictive cinnamon roll. Add friendly, efficient service and this place is a must-visit if you are in the area.

The cakes were so dry and tasted like cheap grocery store cakes. I got 4 slices of cake of different flavours and they all disappointed. Not worth the price as all.
