I was craving some katsu and rice, so I randomly stumbled upon this place, and I see why it's so highly rated now. I got the combo pork katsu set which has two pieces of pork, and half signature katsu sauce and half creamy sauce, and also came with rice, corn and cabbage salad. The SERVINGS were diabolically generous like holyymoly wow. I was pretty hungry too, but I think I managed to get through about 60%. It was delicious though, and I really wanted to keep stuffing my face but my stomach was going to explode. The pork was so crispy! And the sauce was well balanced, the katsu sauce and the creamy sauce worked well together actually! I enjoyed each bite with both sauces together, but on their own, it was also nice too. Recommend coming here! Make sure your ready to EAT

Awesome fresh & filling restaurant option if you and a friend are willing to share and want to get something that’s not expensive. If you eat alone then go very hungry &/or be willing to take home leftovers 😅 — If you split a plate with a friend you’d each definitely be very satisfied & you’d pay around $15 each with tax and tip.
Quite fast service. MASSIVE portions. My one meal came with three large chicken breast filets. Couldn’t even finish half. The rice, the corn & the salad were all fresh. Everything was great.

Consistently good. However, I don’t know how a human is able to finish their portions, unless you’ve been fasting or just ran a marathon. Take my advice and split it with someone else. If they offered a smaller lunch set, I would go almost every day.

Anyone who knows me knows that Brown Donkatsu is my go to spot. The food is always delicious, the service is always great, and the large portions are always so worth the price you pay for. However I was left very disappointed when I ordered takeout from the Dundas Street location. The flavour of food was there however the portion was way smaller than normal. Felt like I got one piece of katsu instead of two… don’t think I will come back to this location.
