Beautiful venue. Conveniently located close to the CAA Theatre. Attentive and humorous staff. Great start to an entertaining evening.
Pleasantly surprised by this wonderful restaurant prior to the theatre. Food was great...very good portions, hot, fresh fruit etc. Our server was very pleasant, professional and very accommodating. Definitely recommend as I wasn't familiar with restaurants in this area.
Let us emphasize that the food was great! Gave it four stars because the place was nearly empty and had none of the vibe/buzz that makes restaurant dining pleasurable. Also, our waiter wasn't unfriendly but he also wasn't convivial, and dashed around the room as though being run off his feet, which wasn't the case. It made us a bit uncomfortable.
four different selections from extensive menu all very good, especially squash soup. Very attentive service. Nice quiet ambience.
Lovely ambiance, wonderful, friendly staff. We shared everything. Very accommodating. We had onion soup au gratin, grilled calamari and veal marsala. Absolutely DELICIOUS!
We also had a bottle of wine.
Highly recommend this venue!

Had a lovely brunch/lunch girls reunion where we frequented this restaurant early in our careers over 30 plus years ago. Highly nostalgic for us. Sat outside in their front patio which was lovely but could have more greenery. Min, one of the owners is the STAR of this restaurant, personable , helpful, professional and proactive. Has the right balance of being friendly but giving us space. He took photos for us, gave the bill /served one of the ladies who had to go back to work, told us the history of the restaurant- him and his business partner Tony have owned it since 2005 and basically left it alone. Gorgeous Chandeliers are from the Royal York Hotel. Beautiful huge painting. Food is reasonably priced and large portions. Restaurant could be more cozy...feels a bit too empty.
Key here is the outstanding service and good food that is reasonably priced with large portions. So nice to see Min so passionate about what he does. A neighbourhood gem.

Close it down. My wife's fish was d.o.a. as was my lamb. Place was almost empty. Never ever again.
Beautiful rustic atmosphere, it was warm and welcoming. The food was good and reasonably priced (must get the mussels, so fresh and flavourful!!!), the drinks were delicious, but the real highlight was the exceptional service. Min went above and beyond, constantly checking in, making sure we were comfortable, and adding such a friendly, personable energy to the whole experience. You could tell he genuinely cared and enjoyed being there. This truly elevated our visit!

Great service and great food. I had been to Bumpkins many years ago and it was still great even though it has changed owners. Even better it was quiet.
Nice atmosphere and very relaxed
