We had a wonderful experience at Bumpkins, and what truly set the evening apart was the exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for — everything was thoughtful, attentive and unhurried. The owner was incredibly hands-on, happily adjusting the music when we asked and making sure we were comfortable throughout the evening. We were lucky to have a beautiful seat by the window and with a roaring fireplace, which added so much to the cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious, but it was the warmth, hospitality and personal touch that really made the night memorable. It's rare to feel so welcomed and well looked after —an experience we'll absolutely be returning for.
Very relaxed atmosphere. A diverse menu both in food and beverage. Service was excellent.

I have known of Bumpkins back in the early 80’s as I dined there at a work company Christmas party.
Just this past summer I was looking for a nice quiet restaurant and Bumpkins came to mind, I wondered if they were still around? I was surprised to see they are still around.
By chance on a walk around along Yonge St looking for a place to have dinner, I was at the corner of Gloucester and Yonge St, I went into Bumpkins and had the

I prefer dining at restaurants like Bumpkins, nice background music, you can have a great conversation with your family and friends or if you are having a business dinner, without having to speak loudly over loud music at the other restaurant in Toronto. I highly recommend Bumpkins, they also have a great Brunch Menu

Though one member had been here a number of years the rest of our party had not and were unsure of what to expect. The place is beautiful and the staff are very attentive and engaging. The food was very good and the servings were generous. We were going to a show and they made sure that our food and drinks were delivered in a very timely manner. Definitely would recommend and will be going again.
My husband and I had an amazing supper here! It’s always rewarding to dine in such a special, historic place, but having the owner personally serve our meal at the highest standards made the evening truly exceptional. The care they take in preparing real food—where every delicate flavor shines through—makes a big difference. Fresh flowers on the table added a charming touch. We’ll definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable considering the outstanding quality of both food and service. Highly recommended!

Beautiful venue. Conveniently located close to the CAA Theatre. Attentive and humorous staff. Great start to an entertaining evening.
Pleasantly surprised by this wonderful restaurant prior to the theatre. Food was great...very good portions, hot, fresh fruit etc. Our server was very pleasant, professional and very accommodating. Definitely recommend as I wasn't familiar with restaurants in this area.
Let us emphasize that the food was great! Gave it four stars because the place was nearly empty and had none of the vibe/buzz that makes restaurant dining pleasurable. Also, our waiter wasn't unfriendly but he also wasn't convivial, and dashed around the room as though being run off his feet, which wasn't the case. It made us a bit uncomfortable.
Lovely place. Fresh bread, delicious food and excellent service. Definitely will come back and recommend friends!

Had a lovely brunch/lunch girls reunion where we frequented this restaurant early in our careers over 30 plus years ago. Highly nostalgic for us. Sat outside in their front patio which was lovely but could have more greenery. Min, one of the owners is the STAR of this restaurant, personable , helpful, professional and proactive. Has the right balance of being friendly but giving us space. He took photos for us, gave the bill /served one of the ladies who had to go back to work, told us the history of the restaurant- him and his business partner Tony have owned it since 2005 and basically left it alone. Gorgeous Chandeliers are from the Royal York Hotel. Beautiful huge painting. Food is reasonably priced and large portions. Restaurant could be more cozy...feels a bit too empty.
Key here is the outstanding service and good food that is reasonably priced with large portions. So nice to see Min so passionate about what he does. A neighbourhood gem.
