really comfy atmosphere, I ordered a cake and it’s probably one of the best cakes I’ve ever had in my life. Service was quick as well. :3

I’ve purchased several cakes from this shop and they’re all perfectly balanced in flavor and not too sweet. I’ve tried the matchamisu, birthday cake, and rose-flavored cake. The frosting is soft, silky, subtly sweet, and never hardens. I haven’t yet found another cake shop I enjoy as much! Around Valentines Day, my partner picked up the rose-flavored cake (pictured) that was unique and delicious. My only critique is I wish you could customize your cake for special occasions. We’ll always go to Butter Baker for our cake needs!

One of my favorite Spots in Toronto for Breakfast. They YuU hollandaise sauce with their onsen egg on the Salmon Benedict is to die for. Also the best Home fires I ever had. Well seasoned and crispy! Very Filling portions. We went in a min before they opened and they were still very open and welcoming. We were even treated to some sample cake Slices! We will definitely be back for the food and Earl Gray and pistachio cake next time!

Went here for brunch with my friends- we each ordered 1 dish and shared with each other, and found it was a good amount of food. We ordered the strawberry waffle with ice cream, the honey garlic chicken waffle with salad, and the full breakfast (polish sausage, bacon, waffle and potatoes). The drinks were Hojicha latte and Ube latte. We really enjoyed our drinks, it wasn't too sweet and had the advertised flavors. I did think the Hojicha was a bit grainy on top though. The food itself was fine, my friend is a big fan of the salad dressing (a yuzu vinagrette).
However we all agreed the waffles were lackluster- they fell apart quite easily as if it was gluten free, and was prone to being soggy from syrup/icecream very quickly. Did want to note our strawberries on the waffle were a mix of real fruit and compote. Might come back to try their cakes/croissants but overall for a place that seems to offer multiple waffle dishes, this wasnt it.

If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. Five stars for the food, because I am a huge fan of anything Earl Grey flavored, and another five stars for the incredible customer service.
We came in around noon for brunch. After finishing our meal, we ordered an ice cream listed on the menu as the “flavor of the month.” Luckily for me, this month’s flavor was Earl Grey. However, when the ice cream arrived, it turned out to be Berries & Vanilla. Since it was only the second day of the month, we assumed the menu might not have been updated yet, so we were totally fine with it.
We simply wanted to let the staff know about the mix-up and had no intention of asking for anything in return. The gentleman who spoke with us, who seemed to be the owner, apologized sincerely several times. To our surprise, he then brought out a slice of cake and told us he would love for us to try their new flavor, Matchamisu, as an apology.
We were honestly so delighted, and even better, the flavor was amazing.
We will definitely be coming back many more times.

I really enjoyed eating here! The raspberry pistachio cake was delicious and I will definitely come back again to eat it. My friends also enjoyed their cakes and drinks. You order your food from QR code and after they bring our your food, you're pretty much left alone, some might prefer this but I personally wish we got water refills and checked in on every so often!

The quality is definitely noticeable, and the portions are satisfying. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. The only small downside is that service can be a bit slow when it’s busy, but overall it’s a great place and I’d happily come back again.

The waffle is so covered in oil and cooked in oil that it is probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. The matcha was good and strong and the atmosphere is great but would caution highly to stay away from the waffle, truly bad. I bought the bagel on December 30th. The strawberry waffle and I have the receipt.

Went to Butter Baker for brunch two weekends in a row. This place has a very quiet, lowkey vibe if you're early enough, but gets very busy throughout the brunch hours. The wait to be seated can be up to 40 minutes at times, so I recommend arriving early to secure a spot. We ordered the Yuzu chicken and waffles and the honey garlic chicken and waffles, and were impressed by both. The Yuzu tossed chicken was tangy and paired perfectly with the sweet waffles. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent, but otherwise a great meal.

I had the strawberry frozen yogurt soft serve. It was a mix of strawberry and vanilla with freeze dried strawberries sprinkled on it. It was absolutely the best soft serve I've ever had in my life. I spent the entire time eating in total shock over how amazing it was.
They rotate the flavours monthly. I'm going to go back every month to try whatever the current flavour is.
I went back and got June's flavour, Pina colada. Also excellent but not quite as perfect as the strawberry was.
July's blueberry and panna cotta was also exceptional.
August's Mango Lassi was good as expected but maybe not as strong as the previous month's. I think it might be better to get just the mango instead of the swirl with frozen yogurt. Also the mango falls off very easily, so make sure you eat that right away! The sidewalk outside is covered in mango slices that fell off people's cones.
Septembers' passion fruit, orange, guava mixed with vanilla is excellent as expected. Super fresh and fruity tropical taste. This might be one where you skip the mix and get just the fruit flavour.
I also tried a double chocolate cookie which was good, but nothing exceptional.
