Very tasty food, we ordered the short rib, The lentil rice, the hummus royale and lamb pide. The hummus was amazing and was a good value, the lamb pide was really tasty as well but the portions left a bit to be desired compared to the traditional pides you'd find. The main course with short rib and lentil rice was amazing as well. The lentil rice is a definite recommendation in my book along with short rib. I will be trying the lamb next time as I've heard good things. The ambience and location is really nice, this specific location is a bit small so do make a reservation's!

This is my go-to spot for dates, special occasions and nice nights out. As always, the food and service exceeded my expectations. Favourites to order: Labneh (ask for extra barbari bread!) Turkish Manti Dumplings Short Rib Kebab Jeweled Rice Get a Turkish coffee at the end, and it's a perfect meal.

I've been a loyal guest at Byblos Downtown, having dined here nearly a dozen times over the years prior to COVID, and have always considered it one of my favorite restaurants while visiting Toronto. Unfortunately, my most recent visit this past Monday fell short of expectations. I was dining with a party of four for a business dinner and requested to be seated upstairs, as that area has always been a defining part of the Byblos experience for me. I was told by the hostess that the upstairs section was reserved for larger parties, which was disappointing, particularly as a returning guest who has dined there frequently in the past. We were ultimately seated near the kitchen entrance, which diminished the atmosphere and overall dining experience. The food, while still decent, lacked the vibrancy and quality I've come to expect — notably, the lamb shoulder, which has long been one of my go-to dishes, was underwhelming this time. Byblos has always stood out for its ambiance and attention to detail, but this visit didn't meet the standard I've come to associate with the restaurant. I hope this feedback helps ensure future guests receive the consistently elevated experience that Byblos is known for.

This restaurant is ready to be closed. The banquette we were seated at was worse than sitting in a barn. The leather was ripped in several places with the foam sticking out. I could see that the seating at the tables beside us were in similar disrepair. How the owners think this is acceptable is beyond me. The woman's bathroom has two faucets - one doesn't work and is coming out of the wall, the second operates like a garden hose and soaks you when you turn it on. I certainly won't eat here again.

Every thing was good The cocktail and the kebob ribs were the best The squid was a touch over cooked

The food was excellent. We had the Lamb ribs and Octopus appetizers. We had the Wagyu Lahmeh, which is like a flat bread and the Brussel Sprouts and Halloumi. We would order all four dishes again. The restaurant was full, so reservations are required, we were there on a Tuesday night. Our server was an actor and was friendly, knowledgable, and engaging. Thanks Josh for a wonderful evening.

The upper dining room is dark with house music vibes on this Saturday evening with a DJ after 8PM. The food is excellent and drinks are flowing from the bar. Service is on point with the overall experience reminding me why an evening out can be such an enjoyable experience !

We went before and were seated on the main floor - this was our first time in the lower level. The ambience and aesthetic are not as appealing. Had manti, hummus royale, fried olives. Of the 3 apps, manti was excellent but hummus royale is a staple. Mains were fried chicken (knock out!!) roast chicken (excellent) eggplant (fabulous flavour) and the kebab which had a nice char. The fried chicken was the star of the show. Sides jeweled rice and the thrice fries. Finished with the baba, honey ice cream was to die for. Cocktails Silk Road, nice mild - not too sweet. Overall good service, though the server didn't seem to know the dishes well (described thrice fries as potato cooked 3 ways ... it was just well done shoe string fries, and also mid guided selection of chicken when asked which was dark vs light meats) but was pleasant and attentive. Service took 1.5 hrs start to finish, it was pretty busy by the time we left. Didn't feel rushed, enjoyed the experience overall - challenging area due to construction and renovations happening all around the location.

Special thanks to Kimberly and the girl working with her yesterday. So sweet and accommodating! Called me immediately after my friend left her wallet. Highly highly recommend this place and their superstar staff like Kimberly and her co worker!

Byblos provide a great experience and the food is fantastic, one thing I would add for recommendations is the octopus and fish we order it is smoky and the sauce was great but a tiny bit of bitterness from the real charcoal fire take the spotlight, overall it was still amazing the beef tartare is unique and surprising. Will definitely go back

What a meal! The food and wine parings were fantastic! I loved everything we ate! Our waiter was excellent at recommending things to us as well. We ate at a great pace to be relaxed and get to the theatre.

i think it is not acceptable that it was not possible to reserve for only 1 person at 5 pm. it is said that they were no avaibility before 8 pm. so i choose for two at 5pm, but i was alone. the restaurant was empty a this time. why can you accept for a single person.

We had a terrific business dinner at Byblos Downtown last night — the creative menu and snappy service made for an ideal setting. Just a note that the bottled water costs about the same as a beer and they just keep pouring until the five of us had 10 bottles between us. Bottled water aside, overall it was a wonderful evening!

Amazing food and service. We ordered the wagyu pure, short ribs n fries, truffle rice, fries and a chocolate mousse dessert. The dessert wasn't our favorite but the rest was stellar.
