The food was good particularly the humus and the French fries. Service started off well but declined and was very slow. We had to ask for our table to be cleared. A couple of the staff who brought and cleared food were very nice particularly a woman.
Services and food were very good. The restaurant noise level was incredibly LOUD! I think the wall bench seating tables were a bit too close to each other. No privacy at all! The curtains could have been blocked the sunlight better. The sunshine was shining into our face for quite some time. It wasn't comfortable at all.
I started with the "Birds of Paradise" cocktail, which, while not bad, didn't stand out I wouldn't have guessed it had pineapple juice if I hadn't read the menu. My friend ordered the "Marrakesh Garden" and absolutely loved it, calling it one of the best cocktails she's had in a while. For the main course, I had the lamb shoulder. The waiter mentioned it was meant for two people, and that was accurate especially when paired with a side dish. The meat was tender, and the presentation was well done. My friend chose the short rib kebab, which unfortunately didn't meet expectations, the meat lacked flavor and seemed poorly marinated, though the dish's presentation was the highlight. We shared a side of fries, but they were extremely thin and dry. I did enjoy the bread, though it could have been more flavorful. Overall, the experience felt average, and considering the price point, there are definitely better options out there in terms of quality.
The food is normally great, but they changed their desert menu, which is a real disappointment!
This is one of my all time favourite restaurents in Toronto and only a short walk from my residence. The food is beyond divine...especially the Crispy Shrimp and the Tomato & Feta Salad. For dessert our wonderful waiter recommended the Saffron dish which we will definately order upon our next visit!!! The only serious complaint I have is with the choice of music...so much effort is put into presenting authentic Eastern Mediterranean Cusine and a decor to enjoy it in yet no effort is made to ensure the music compliaments and adds to the Mediterranean experience!!! Shameful!!!
Food is outstanding but overpriced. The air wasn't working and we couldn't get out of there fast enough! Shame. Will cross this one off my list.
Great experience, our server was very friendly and accommodating. Also the food was delicious
The combination of flavours was so amazing - and sharing so many dishes made it an amazing experience
Hosted a dinner for family and friends. Chef Cio curated a three course sharing menu for our party of 8; the mains included fried chicken (one of Chef Cio's signature dishes), waguy beef, lamb and fish (all Halal). Dinner was familiar, Mediterranean food, and different at the same time.
Drinks were a bit pricey, but were unique and made with quality spirits (so, worth it). Service was prompt and friendly.
Excellent restaurant, as good as the downtown location.
Really enjoyed it.

Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere! Service was incredible! Wes was attentive, friendly and VERY funny. We had a wonderful time. Looking forward to returning!
Byblos was as good as always, the food was great and Wes (Wesley!) was very attentive and funny, he made our experience ten times better.
The food is just the best! I’ve been when it packed and I’ve been when it empty and the service has been on point!
Incredible! The best meal ive ever had. I went to the downtown location about a decade ago but don’t remember it being so memorable. The service and food was impeccable. Idk how anyone could give a less than 5 rating. Tysm!!
We visited Byblos Uptown to celebrate my 40th birthday, and while the food was absolutely amazing — truly top-notch — there were a few disappointing aspects that held us back from giving the five-star review we were hoping to leave.
Despite having a reservation, we ended up waiting about 50 minutes to be seated. We had informed the staff in advance that we were celebrating a milestone birthday, but unfortunately, that detail was completely missed. No birthday acknowledgment, no candle — until we reminded them ourselves near the end of the meal, at which point a small candle was finally brought out.
The restaurant was extremely busy, and the staff looked visibly stressed and overwhelmed. As a business owner myself, I understand how tough it can be on a packed night, and I could tell they were trying their best under pressure. To their credit, they did comp our drinks and a couple of appetizers, which we appreciated.
I really wanted to give Byblos five stars, and I still believe it has the potential to deliver that level of service — but based on last night’s experience, we left feeling let down. For now, it’s a four-star review, but we’re open to giving it another try in the future — hopefully with a smoother, more special experience worthy of a celebration.
