A pretty solid spot in the financial district. We ordered steak, a few appetizers, crab meat tacos, and sea bass—everything was fresh and well-prepared. The outdoor seating is a big plus when summer’s here. Prices are on the higher side, but overall it’s a nice experience.

We went to Bymark for my partner’s birthday, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Max, who anticipated our needs and offered thoughtful suggestions.

Our server, Leah, delivered service that was both professional and prompt, yet also warm and genuine; we felt like we were reconnecting with an old friend.

The menu was well-rounded, and our meals exceeded expectations. My partner ordered the squid and octopus, which were generously portioned and perfectly cooked, while I enjoyed the wagyu meatballs, which were rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. A special thanks to Johnny and Tony for preparing such outstanding dishes.

We also enjoyed incredible drinks. My partner had the Tokyo Calling cocktail, while I had the Rosé. Alex, the manager and a knowledgeable sommelier, guided us to the perfect wine pairing, and I truly savored a delicious glass of rosé with my meal. His expertise elevated the experience even further.

The team added thoughtful touches throughout the night that made the celebration feel even more memorable, and it showed how much pride they take in creating experiences that stand out.

Overall, every detail of our evening was exceptional. From the hospitality to the food, cocktails, and atmosphere, Bymark delivers a truly elevated dining experience. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I had an early supper there. I tried their focaccia and barbecued octopus with a glass of red wine! Amazing food, great service and lovely ambience! I would certainly try to step in this river again! :)

Amazing location and iconic restaurant but tough lunch experience. Some servers were nice and some seemed super annoyed when we pushed back on the bill - Order was incorrect for my friend (tuna poke came out as starter even though asked for meal size and then charged for meal size - it was corrected). $75 for one piece of schnitzel with some arugula (no side), a Diet Coke that was flat and a coffee. Prices are insane and the value is not there with moderately decent service. This place used to be magic and now it’s ridiculous.

Bymark Toronto – A Little Oasis in the Heart of the Financial District 🌿

I had bookmarked Bymark for a while now after seeing it pop up on an influencer’s IG reel, and finally made it there for a summer lunch — and let me just say, the location does not disappoint. Beautifully tucked between the towering TD buildings, the patio feels like a calm little escape in the middle of the concrete jungle.

We got a lovely spot right by the flowers, which really added to the vibe. While I was waiting for my friend (thanks to the eternal downtown parking struggle), I did feel some subtle pressure from the staff — those lingering looks and the “when will your guest arrive” energy was slightly uncomfortable.

But once we settled in, the food more than made up for it. I ordered their garden salad paired with a glass of Prosecco Rosé — such a refreshing combo for a summer afternoon. The freshly baked focaccia was warm and fluffy, and my friend’s seared yellowfin tuna was perfectly done and full of flavour.

That said, there was one downside — the service felt a bit too eager. Multiple check-ins asking if we were “still working on that” or if they could clear our plates began to feel a little intrusive, especially since the patio wasn’t full and the place stays open well into the evening. A more relaxed pace would have matched the serene setting better.

One suggestion — it would be great to see a few more vegan options on the menu. Right now, there are maybe two or three at best.

Would I return? Absolutely. For that unbeatable downtown summer vibe alone, I’d come back — maybe next time for cocktails at golden hour 🌇.

Even with the nice location and ambiance, the food doesn’t justify the price.
The shrimp pasta and the green salad was good but the meatball pasta was way too salty and the wagyu dumpling was very disappointing. Any frozen dumpling from tnt would taste better. The service was okay, though it could have been a bit more attentive.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! They had a really special menu, and the 5-course meal was delicious. Each course came with a different wine to pair with it. I highly recommend it for group dinners.

I hosted my husband’s 50th birthday party in their private dining room last weekend. Darlien, Alex and Lacey were fantastic in the service provided; accommodating us with our asks on room setup, a DJ for the after party and service all through the evening with drinks…after dinner was long done. We received tons of compliments on the food (set menu B) and the fact that we had the room for dancing till almost 2AM!! Alex and team even helped our DJ friend bring his equipment from the parking lot!! A huge thank you to the Bymark team for creating such a special night for us.

Cocktails were very mediocre, but expensive. By comparing them with high-level bars, their drinks were more expensive, less alcohol, and very bland. We only had fries, they were mediocre, pub-level too. Very beautiful ambient, but nothing that I want to try again.

One of the best restaurants in Toronto and I can say that confidently. The entrance and setup is a bit unusual but classy and sleek nonetheless. The service was friendly and very good. The food is no doubt the highlight - everything we had we adored and the dessert was great as well. Definitely an expensive meal but I would say it is for sure worth it for a special occasion.

Looked for a patio, and ended up at Bymark. This place has been open for a long time. And it shows. The service, however, was fantastic and accommodating. Our hostess was so gracious. Our server very attentive, as were all the support. It's the food. The tuna tartare was so odd and very fishy. The tacos were snack size, which is fine, but the tortilla base was soggy. I don't know; it just felt very much like M&M's meat shop canapés. Duck spring rolls were yummy, though. The bathrooms were a mess. This is shocking to me, considering the name behind the restaurant. Anyway, it's the financial distric and super busy, but details matter.
