We stopped here just to get a couple quick drinks while exploring the Don Valley Brickworks area, as we're new to Toronto. We weren't even sure if they were open at first, and when we finally got their attention it didn't seem like they wanted customers. Would not return.
Cold, and old food.
We got the breakfast bagel - they had heated the bread but the egg was stale and cold.
We also got the Mediterranean bowl with chicken - the chicken was boiled and cold, the veggies were soggy and stale!
I would at the most get something to drink here (if there were no other options). Do not eat here!
I had the Southwestern Bowl and it was very underwhelming. It was to have brown rice, chick peas, black beans and red peppers. The rice did not appear to be brown rice, hardly any chick peas or black beans, and no red peppers. The amount of food was very small - looked more like a side order. Not at all what you would expect for 19$! When I expressed my disappointment the solution was to add more green peppers - not going to result in customer satisfaction or a potential return.
The Cortado and HitchHiker Lemonade at Picnic Cafe (Evergreen Brick Works) was good.
The Cortado was smooth and not acidic. It was nicely made and a good pick me up coffee.
The HitchHiker Lemonade was good. It had more of an orange like flavour to the lemonade. Overall, it was a good refreshing lemonade.
Bowls are so good and plated so nice. Absolutely a hidden gem here.
This was a tasty burger! Wow! $18.08 including 13% (HST) tip. Fries would’ve been nice at this price point, otherwise, a really good, thick, juicy burger!
Absolutely terrible. Don’t waist your time and money for this place. Wasn’t able to get my coffee after 20 mins waiting.
Horrible experience. Do not fo if you don't want to wait 30 minutes for a marginal coffee. Brutal way to ruin your day.
0 stars if i could. Your order of a single mediocre coffee will take 20+ minutes.
My daughter and I enjoyed their favourite blueberry scone and a coffee while we waited for our family to arrive. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman at the register and he helped me choose what to get for my pastry. They have plenty of seating and outlets for use if required and the big windows just think it’s such a nice place to have a coffee and sit

Excellent to sit out on the patio and enjoy the Evergreen air and the cute birds that hang around. An oasis within an oasis. Items here are premium priced I’d say, but what I’ve had has been well made. The “famous” blueberry scone lives up to its name, and is in fact, perhaps the best scone I’ve ever had. I can see myself getting this item every time I return. And the spicy ginger cookie, is indeed spicy! Only for true ginger lovers (me!). Be warned, that this place is naturally busy when Evergreen is busy. On a weekend afternoon, they run out of items and there are lines, but the staff is great and it moves along.

I got scammed and double charged for my order on Oct. 21, 2024 at 12:21pm. Not very happy at all. 😡

I ordered a coffee yesterday and requested sugar. They told me they didn’t have any because the manager didn’t buy it. I’m not sure how a coffee shop can run out of sugar.
I wouldn’t recommend buying coffee at this place
Walking around ever green brick woods and my girlfriend & I got a little hungry, Our first time visiting this little coffee shop would recommend to try it out!
Avocado on toast was absolutely Devine. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was small town vintage. Highly recommended.
I forgot to mention the BLUEBERRY SCONE it was amazing. Perfect consistency. Just enough sugar and blueberries. I would have taken a dozen home if I wasn’t on a diet.
