Cozy and quirky decor. I loved it. The seating options inside are limited, there’s a big table on the back next to a piano. The patio is beautiful. We couldn’t stay long as we didn’t feel comfortable with our seating space.
Staff was very friendly. The coffee was good and the scones were fantastic. It’s on the pricey side.

Every time I go to Cafe23, I experience a little escape from the city. I am always impressed at how beautiful the interior is (see picture) and how quiet the back patio is.

Cafe23 is a really beautiful place. Its a nice, quiet atmosphere with a single clean bathroom. The food and drinks themselves were okay. I saw a lot of reviews raving about the cinnamon bun but I found it lacking in richness. It tasted like someone tried to make a healthy version of a cinnamon bun, and you could tell. It was also topped with lemon zest which I did not see mentioned anywhere. I am not a fan of citrus flavours so this was an unpleasant surprise for me. In addition, prices were a little high, even factoring in the location. Milk alternatives were an extra $1.50 charge. That being said, if you can afford it, the patio really is a gorgeous place to hang out on a nice day.

Saw a woman behind the counter yelling and swearing at staff yesterday. Must've been an owner or manager by that attitude. Despicable. If that's who's profiting off my coffee I will take my money elsewhere. Staff was otherwise very nice. I feel sorry for them.
