I wish I found this lovely spot earlier. If it wasn’t for word of mouth, I wouldn’t have ever discovered this quaint cafe that’s very much hidden away. I ordered a latte and it was absolutely delicious. Prices are extremely fair and really cannot be beat. I love that they only offer their coffee in mugs that are to be returned once finished. Such an excellent way to promote sustainability.
This hidden cafe in U of T is very interesting. It is ran by volunteers and it is eco-friendly by renting out reusable cups to return later or give drinks in mugs if you are staying inside the cafe. The staff do not use take-out paper cups. I ordered ice Lavender London Fog, and it was soothing and delicious. The cafe doesn't have any background music playing. I believe it is very affordable with the quality drink they make. I recommend visiting this small cafe. Don't forget to bring a cup or tumbler!

I got a spinach scone and it tasted super weird
Great for UofT students looking to grab some caffeine, unfortunately they don’t do paper cups so you can’t rly take it to go as you’ll have to return the reusable mug

Great vibes. Excellent espresso, coffee and drinks (they use Dark Horse brand Beans!). Reasonable prices. and the volunteer baristas are always smiling. Such a great place to be on campus!
It's cool and calm public place for whom who love to spend some time outside of there busy desktop job. It's a campus vintage building mostly for students. But you will still like the place.

Caffiends is a beloved student-run cafe tucked in Victoria College! Here are the reasons why it’s a great campus spot:Drinks: Caffiends has a variety of espresso and tea beverages, as well as hot chocolate. They also offer plant-based milk for no extra charge which is so awesome! I personally am a fan of their Lavender London Fog and Matcha Latte.Baked goods: they have a nice amount of gluten-free and vegan items! The cinnamon roll is wonderful.Pricing: Caffiends is extremely affordable! They have regular coffee for $1.75 and tea for $2. Their items are very budget friendly!Staff: this cafe is run by volunteers and they are so kind! I’ve always had a pleasant experience interacting with them.Space: Caffiends is in a cozy room that has a cute bookshelf, couches, a table and chairs, and a wall table with high rise chairs. There are student newspapers and board games in there as well. Keep in mind that all drinks are served in reusable mugs, so make sure you’re okay with staying in Victoria college to ensure you can return the cup when you’re done. If you can, I recommend bringing your own tumbler if you’d like your drink to-go. I do this regularly and have never had any issues with it.Overall, Caffiends is a spot worth supporting and I always leave feeling content! I highly recommend visiting when you have the time.
