I ordered a birthday cake for my son's first birthday, and the cake honestly turned out even better than I imagined! With the help of my friend. We found this cake shop online and asked for a custom cake for my girlfriends big 40th birthday. We sent an email and gave some reference pictures of what we wanted. The ladies at this bakery were very helpful and patient and gave us some great options. We finalized on the choices and asked to make it more of a dirty NY city vibe and flavor we wanted. And they were more than happily to accept it. A week later my friend picked up the cake and she was in shock how amazing the did. Didn't want to ruin it from my girlfriemd but when she saw it her face was so happily shocked and amazed how beautiful the cake was. Will order more cakes from you ladies. Keep up what your doing.

One of the worst experiences ever! I bought a cake for my son’s birthday and it was dry and tasted terrible. The cake itself was way too dense. I reached out to the business to let them know and the owner asked me to bring in the cake. She said my opinion was subjective. So I brought in the cake (more then half was left over cause no one wanted to take it home after the birthday) to get a partial refund. She was speaking to me as if I have never had cake before. I explained that 14 others who were at the birthday also thought her cake was dry and crumbly. She just kept brushing it off. After she tested the cake, She told me that she thought it was fine and that other people at her cake shop tasted it and said it was fine as well. She put so much emphasis on trying to prove me wrong. It was condescending and uncalled for. I paid $150 to be told my opinion doesn’t matter. Moreover she offered me 10% off for future orders. Not sure why she thought think I’d ever be giving this place my business again. One of the best parts of a birthday is the cake. And thank you so much Cake Star for ruining my son’s first birthday cake. Needless to say I will NEVER be ordering from this place again.

They were super speedy in their response to my request, very easy to work with, and the cake was even better than the inspiration photo we gave them. It was delicious and we couldn’t be happier. I ordered a tiered carrot cake for my father's 70th birthday for a party of 40 people. Some of our guests have severe food allergies, so I made sure to be very explicit about there being no nuts or raisins in the cake. The cake ended up having both! Someone could have died. And the cake to frosting ratio was so imbalanced - it was basically a fondant and frosting cake with a little bit of cake. When I called to complain I was offered a credit for a new order. But who would want to buy a cake from the same place that made such a serious error? A terrible cake and even more service.
