I placed an order of a custom cake for my husband's birthday. His first birthday as a dad and I wanted to do something special on this day for him. Filled up google form on their website to select cake size, base and filling. I sent some ideas via email and Monja did an amazing design for the cake. Very clean and cute. Fabulous taste as well. Start to end our interaction with Monja was friendly and professional. Highly recommend cakes from Cakestar for any of your occasions. Approved a custom cake within a week's notice but the final product looked rushed and nowhere the quality/standard of what other customers posted. Did not follow the photo image as agreed upon until it was requested again during pickup (not complicated). The cake was delicious but I can't recommend them considering the price and it looked like it was done by a trainee. Terrible customer service when addressed disappointment.

All I wanted was ‘to have my cats welcoming our child’ represented on the cake. Monja took the images I brought with me for ideas and we came up with cake design during our free consultation and placed the order. Then on the day of the shower, I simply squealed with joy observing the final result. We even had a little blurb explaining the theme of the cake to our attendees.

Everyone loved the cake and cupcakes, fresh, moist with all whole ingredients and no artificial colourants. Loved this!! I would highly recommend Cake Star for any of your events. The owner was lovely and easy going - you can see they take pride in their products!

We recently purchased a Strawberry short cake from this place. It said in the description it will come with fresh strawberries and to our surprise it didn’t and only came with a thin layer of strawberry marmalade in the middle. We felt very disappointed since it was missing the “strawberry” of the shortcake. For the amount of money we payed for this cake it was not even on par with a supermarket cake.
I have ordered from Cakestarz 3 times, after a less impressive experience at another bakery. Each cake has blown me out of the water, with their communication, design, execution and most of all the final product is show stopping!

AMAZING CAKE! I just had a cake ordered for my bachelorette party and it was spectacular! The cake was so beautifully made and designed. The colours were perfect, the sculpting of the fondant was brilliant, the artistry was very impressive. BUT THE TASTE! The taste was outstanding. So delicious melt in your mouth buttery goodness. It’s not often that the flavour matches the artwork but this one was above and beyond. 10/10 and will definitely be ordering more cakes here. THANK YOU!

The cake was outstanding. Only regret guests wanted more. Will and would definitely use this company for another event.
