It’s highly rated because it’s unassuming and comfortable. The staff are very down to earth and I felt like I should invite them over to my house one night for dinner and drinks, and that they would be good friends with good stories. Food was also comfortable. If you wanted privacy for your table, you can have it, and if you wanted to open up a conversation with other patrons or the staff, that is also available. Although the neighbourhood could use some sprucing up, the restaurant was very clean. It was my first time there and it was exactly what I was looking for on a cold Toronto January night. Prices are more than fair and I would definitely compare Caminos to a nicer and much more economical Baton Rouge, with the added bonus of a warm feeling inside that you supported a small business and were treated like a guest at someone’s house.

Both the food and service were perfect in every way. Highly recommend this hidden gem on Danforth that's very popular with the locals. This strip of Danforth is a little rough around the edges but the restaurant is lovely.

Great food and great service!
This place was a delightful surprise. It looks humble from the outside, but all food items showed they were prepared with care. Prices were very reasonable and washrooms were clean.

A nice little French Polynesian place Food was very good and staff were friendly and attentive. The Atlantic Sole Cajun With Shrimps Wrapped In Banana Leaf And Lime was a hit with my wife, and I quite enjoyed the Slow Cooked Lamb Shank in Tomato Sauce.

Such great food and flavour. The definition of a hidden gem. A must order is the homemade butter tart for dessert.

Love Camino Bistro!!! Everything is carefully executed. Properly made cocktails, excellent appetizers and amazing mains! Prices are more than reasonable, portions are large. Will be coming back pretty much everytime I'm on the Danforth!!

Delicious soup and entrée (cordon blue), the various vegetable sides were a lovely addition, and the butter tart was a 10/10. Also great and personable service. I will definitely be back.

We picked this restaurant for dinner before our show at the Comedy Bar because of its high Google reviews. This is a lovely little local French bistro-like restaurant. Service was good, food though was fairly average. It was a bit disappointing when compared with the high ratings. They gave you a few options for the salad dressing, and I went with this raspberry vinegarette that just wasn't that great. The beef brisket in red wine sauce was a little dry as well. I did enjoy the beef carparcio and the escargot. Overall, it was a mediocre experience for me.

Amazing value. Very kind. If you're in the area (waiting for a comedy show) then definitely stop by.
