Such a nice spot for Italian food downtown.

Odd service experience. They took away our food and dessert before we finished it, without asking if we were done. It felt like they were telling us to hurry up and leave. Food is okay, portion size is a bit small for a main dish. Really disappointing.

Brought in a party of 25 and sat in the room upstairs. The main server and additional staff were excellent. Everyone enjoyed the food. You could not tell it was a large party the service was that good. I would return for sure.

Great pastas and pizzas!! Open late and their tiramisu is a great way to end the meal.

Good food but a slow service and a lot of waiting for the food. Big place but lot of echo and noise.
Went here before a concert with my husband and we were seated immediately as it did not appear to be busy at the time. Our server, Kseniia, offered us water then came back for our drink order. She then got our food order in and that was the last we saw of her. She did not come back once to check on us. My husband sat there with an empty plate in front of him and was offered no drink refill for almost an hour—he would have spent $$ on more alcohol, but was never given the opportunity. I observed her going to other tables in our section engaging, being very friendly and attentive to larger groups, however I am not exaggerating when I say she completely ignored us and when she initially approached, she was very cold. I think maybe it was a busboy who came to us and acknowledged us by clearing our plates. I then had to ask him to get our server for the bill. She came after making us wait even longer with empty cups and plates in front of us, and asked if it was separate or together.. If she had been more observant or came back to our table more than literally once, she would have seen weddings rings and my pregnant belly, indicating yes..the bill is together. It just added insult to injury. The food was great..my husband insists I write it was amazing in this review.. he wanted to thank the cooks/chef personally, which he did. The servers attitude towards us was very upsetting and felt almost discriminatory.
Perhaps she assumed bigger groups would tip better? Or because of our clothing (concert attire) we were not deemed as important enough customers? We are not confrontational people, so we let it go, paid and left.. however this experience alone left such a negative impression on both of us as we were completely neglected by the server. I want to reiterate the food was top notch.

Nice aesthetic, but the food is a let down. Ordered a gnocci dish and the gnocci itself was mushy and the sauce lacked complexity. Would not return to be honest.

I went to this place for brunch 2 days ago and the place looked nice. When me and my friends got to our table it was in the corner of the restaurant. We ordered our food and it came then out of no where a bunch of flies came out of no where and we literally had to hide the flies from our food, it got to a point and it was getting annoying. One even sat in my water. The waitress was nice and all but the vibe was dead. The food was very bland and it came pretty cold too. I will definitely not be returning.

Came here on a weekday after work, it was quite empty for such a large space. Good atmosphere though, minus some flies but that’s inevitable with the open air in the summers. Food was not bad and was decently portioned. They are currently doing a summer deal that includes dessert for $32 which was great
We had a really great experience at Cantina Mercatto! Really tasty Italian food (highly recommend the ricotta gnocchi), easy availability, pleasant atmosphere, and kind and quick service! Their birthday treat is nice as well. Will be coming back!
