We have been to all of the top 10 pizzerias in Toronto, and then some, and I can tell you that this pizza is above ALL of them! The dough is beyond compare. The authentic Italian staff and the neopolitan owner are amongst the loveliest people I’ve met. We’ll be back. Can’t wait. Not sure I can ever go to another pizzeria again! Pizzeria Carolina is in a class of its own!
Vegetarian options: They can substitute meat toppings with more veggies!

We went to Carolina Pizzeria on a Tuesday evening for a family dinner of three. We met Denzil (an integral part if the team) whilst travelling. In conversation he mentioned that we try the restaurant. They are currently under renovation on the street level, but manage to create an inviting and elegant atmosphere in the lower level. It was a lovely meal. We had white pizzas the Tartufata and the Buona. The dough was light and delicious. We added a bit of chili oil to create another layer of flavour. We also had the Fritto Misto which was sparse on the plate but packed flavourful bites. We ended with the Pistachio Lava Cake for dessert which was one of the best desserts we have had. It was sinfully delicious the pistachio cream did not disappoint. The garnish of sweet fresh figs and sprinkles of pistachios with vanilla gelato on a raspberry puddle was divine!!! Thanks to a friendly staff and to Denzil for his wonderful welcome and a heartily satisfying dining experience!

Service was a bit odd. They were both super helpful and not helpful at the same time, kept refilling our waters, despite cups not being empty, but also would be away when they were needed. The ambiance is great, it was pretty quiet, especially for a Saturday evening. The food has excellent presentation however it was exceptionally bland. I got the Pesto Pasta with burrata, I’ve never known pesto to be bland in my life but they made it happen. It’s almost as if there wasn’t any flavour to it. Definitely not a restaurant to write home to, if I were to describe it in one word, I’d say “meh”
Appalling service. Skip it.I was at this restaurant at an event and was truly surprised by the management of the restaurant. I found the service to be rude:SERVICE:The owner of the restaurant took my jacket off my chair while I was at the bathroom, giving up my space to somebody else. And that is, considering my drink was still at the table and my used cutlery. Clearly, this place is not about hospitality but about pushing people through the door like a small diner. I actually had better service at diners.FOOD:The food was good. They did the pasta well and the pizza dough was well proofed. Really enjoyed the food. Too bad the service was bad. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

We had high expectations and people recommended this place. So we went to try.We found the crust to be very thick and uncooked in parts. Service is ok, they are accommodating and polite but it takes forever to get your food. We ordered desert and after 10 minutes they informed us that they don’t have it and alternative desert will take another 15 minutes. We decided to leave.On Tuesday, they have 2 for one for pizza so good option to try of you like it

First time trying Carolina and it did not disappoint.Pizza was delicious, we got the Margherita with Mozzarella di Bufala and the Contadina. Both delicious.On the Contadina we switched the ricotta salata with the Gorgonzola and it was a great decision.
Have been surprised by quality, test and atmosphere. I will rate 6 stars if possible. I had steak and salad. Simplicity reached perfection!

Super cute and cozy spot for delicious Italian food, perfect for a date! Came here with my partner and we had the aranchini, Carolina pizza, and the pesto and buratta pasta- absolutely delicious! One of the best pastas I’ve ever had. Tiramisu was also very yum. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cozy and intimate dinner experience
