● Ambience was eclectic on decor, clean and quaint place.
● Service was good being the only two ppl for a weekend dining at Danforth. Ensure to double check your bill before you pay / leave.
● Menu prices were inconceivably gouging with skimpy portions on the ingredients - meat, vegetables and mediocre quality on dishes. I wonder if it's the same at York Mills location.

■ lechon kawali * crispy pork belly ($22.95) - servings were utterly small perhaps 6-8 pcs and pricey; not crispy at all served on a small platter; one or two Filipino restos that I know of with tastier crispier quality lechon kawali with more portions

■ beef kaldareta * tomato beef stew ($24.95) - served only 4-5 pcs of beef although meat were soft / tender and tasty plus carrots potatoes peppers served on a small platter

■ bistek * beefsteak cooked in tagalog? ($24.95) - meat was awfully dry *old* hard to bite and thinly sliced; a few fresh onions; no sauce as one expected served on a small platter

■ pancit canton w/ chicken & shrimp ($18.95) - not the best taste; skimpy portions; I have had tastier at Sampaguita and/or Kabalen

■ pitcher of calamansi juice ($18) - basically drinking the icewater with a spoonful of calamansi juice mixed in.

Overall menu prices were gouging for each dish to note on small servings yet quality was not the finest.

To think, we were looking forward to dine at this location being our first to check it out.
However we enjoyed the meals most probably saved our appetite for dinner albeit the expensive experience. silly me added 20% on tip 😞

Hopefully Cafe Manila will make note on feedback adjust the quantity and/or quality of their menu.

Hope they will successfully thrive as just right next door is one buzzling with crowds of diners is Soulas Greek Modern Mediterranean.

All the best tastier finest of meals and blessings Cafe Manila Danforth!

Food was decent but not as flavourful as other Filipino places in town. The portion is also on the small size given the price. One extra star off for having too many flies in the venue. There were at least 20 congregating around the ceiling and more that kept coming to the table.

We always enjoy coming to Casa Manila, the service is exceptional, waiters/waitresses are attentive and the food is always so tasty! It's our go to spot when we crave authentic filipino cuisine.

Visited this location for Summerlicious only to find out only the north york branch serves it. However we stayed and enjoyed the food which came as a large serving good for two people. Value for money is good especially for those who appreciate Filipino cuisine

The food was amazing and plentiful. Ordered for four people, but I'm pretty sure six people could have ate. Our server Kristina did a great job!

I’m so disappointed about this restaurant. Understood, Cempre Filipino tayo support tayo jan. Ang nakaka disappoint talaga is, yong ang sarap ng kain ng asawa ko sa favourite niyang sinigang ay naubusan sila ng “RICE” like what sa lahat ng pagkain na pwede maubos “RICE” talaga knowing na RICE IS LIFE tayo nabitin tuloy ang asawa ko😂.

This is the best vegan Filipino food I've had at a restaurant. Loved their kare-kare.

It was ok, nothing special. We only went because some of the other Filipino restaurants were closed. Out of town friends wanted to sample Toronto filipino food.

Really great place for filipino food. Taste is good and the atmosphere is nice. Took my mom and sister here for dinner. My mom really liked the fact that they have Red Horse. I have no big complaints. Only thing is that portions could be bigger. Other than that, we'll be back.

If your looking for take out / take away meal.. this is not the Best Resto for you. First time I ordered take out. I was really disappointed. The one who took my order said that waiting time is 20-30 mins but I waited for 1 hour and 20 mins to be exact. The manager said that it’s bcoz of a lot of take out. How come . I was there sitting for more than an hour ALONE. NEVER EVER AGAIN. While waiting . A family came for dine in. And ask me how long have u been waiting. I said “ more than an hour only” they laugh and they left. When I got home. I ordered Bagnet Kare kare.. wala pang Bagoong” 😩 Ssusssss… SUPER DOOPER DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!

Everything was excellent, with warm and gracious service. We had the chicken adobo, crispy pork belly, coconut ginger vegetables, beef sinigang, and steamed rice. Generous portions. Only note is that many of the desserts on menu were not available. Would definitely return.
