This was a good bakery but has gone way downhill, we try to avoid going as much as possible (only exception is their sourdough bread). I have had all of their baked goods many times, the scones are dry and barely have any fruit (had a peach scone and it has maybe 1/16 of a peach in it), the almond croissants have no filling, and the muffins are just ok. The sandwiches are great, however, expensive and it takes 20 minutes to prepare. Cookies are just ok, quite dry, the ginger cookie is their best.

The pasty was dry and so was the meat in it. No apple in the pork and apple. $11...I was expecting much better.

I used to be a regular here and always wanted to love this place (food is yummy), but the customer service has consistently felt cold and dismissive. After one too many uncomfortable experiences, I’ve decided it’s time to move on.

Everyone has off days, but when it becomes a pattern, and there’s no effort to acknowledge or take accountability when something goes wrong, it leaves a lasting impression. It’s disappointing to feel unwelcome, especially as a POC, in a place you’ve supported for so long.

There are plenty of cafés and bakeries in the city that value their customers and create a warm environment. I’ll be taking my business there instead.

One of the worst cakes we have ever tasted! Two simple orders were placed with these guys - a birthday cake and a dozen of small sized cup cakes in a particular flavor. The messed up the order for cup cakes and offered to replace it with another flavor. Since it was the day of the event I decided to get what they offered and went my way. Both, the cake and cup cakes were pretty tasteless, dry and hard as a ROCK!!!! We had to garbage them the next day.
We were quite disappointed (putting it mildly) with this experience even after spending $$$$ for it.

Often come for scones and croissants. Flavour of scones changes daily and they are always great. Love their latte, too. Nice bakery-coffee shop overlooking a little park, nestled among local stores. Good vibe!

On my two previous visits, the lady (I guess is the owner) provided poor customer service, but today was the final straw.

We arrived at 4:40 pm, and I informed her we intended to dine in. However, since closing time was approaching, I asked if I could purchase some food to take to the park with my family. She agreed, so I ordered a variety of salty items. After paying, she handed me the items, which were cold. When I requested she heat them up, she refused, stating she had already turned off the oven and that I should heat them myself. Her tone was unhelpful, especially since I needed the food immediately.
We ended up buying hamburgers elsewhere.

I typically go to Celena's for their delicious fruit pies and quiche. Lotsa butter in the crust :-) Great place.

A little runny...
We love butter tarts.
These are the worst butter tarts I have ever had, and seen.
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was also bad.
Date square was hard, and tasteless.
The only edible one was the Nanaimo Bar.
Sadly, the rast went to the trash.

The latter was not the best and the date square was quite stale. Nice staff.
