Been going there since 2016, and has a nice atmosphere and good music almost all the time.
The only thing that I will recommend to improve is the cocktails sometimes are good others time are bad!

I had a last minute Birthday celebration at my place, my friends just 4 of us decided to go to Chalkers and my bday celebration turned into a party.
The staff was so friendly, happy and professional, the music was lit and just brought the vibe together plus a few games of pool (made it even better)
Thank you to your amazing staff for such a great unforgetful night. I definitely recommend anyone that just wants to have a good fun enjoyable night to go to Chalkers. Drinks and food are a great price with great music and the new design makes it feel classy and elegant. This is literally the best billiards in Toronto! Such a hidden Gem.
Shout out to the Owner for running a great place with great people!

Disappointing. First off, I will say the servers were all lovely, attentive and polite, and I don't blame any of them for any of what I'm about to say. I am sure they are all doing their best, given their circumstances.
I live very close by and they have an amazing balcony, but every time I've gone there in the last 10 years living here, I regret my decision. So frustrating! They were closed for a long time over the pandemic and then just kept it closed doing remodels I guess? Finally they opened back up and we thought things would've improved. First time back in about five years, and immediately we were told sorry, no beer on tap because they left the switch off overnight and the tap beers needed time to cool off? It was 5:30pm when we got there so I'm not sure how they were just noticing if they'd been open all day. Also, aren't you supposed to keep the beer taps refrigerated all the time? I've never worked in a bar but I believe it should be always refrigerated. To me, this says the owner is trying to be cheap and save on hydro or something silly like that.
So this didn't bode well. This meant that we were forced to buy $6.50 bottle beer. Our bill ended up being many hundreds of dollars for four people to drink, have snacks, and play pool for around four hours. At the end when I paid, I didn't notice the tip was already included in the bill, and the credit card machine prompted me for a tip, which I gave ON TOP OF the built-in tip, so I ended up tipping WAY more than I should've. My fault I guess, but it would've been nice if someone had brought it to my attention because that's not normal. Or if the bar could disable the machines to ask for a tip if they're going to build it into the bill. This isn't typical and I bet many people get blindsided by this. I thought about calling them and seeing if they could refund the $50 extra dollars I paid in a tip which was a percentage of the total with an already 20% tip of the original total, but I don't think the servers should be punished for the owner's poor operating practices. I probably just won't go back.
The food is just okay. Mediocre and overpriced, much like all of the food at restaurants in Toronto is nowadays. There are some things on the menu that aren't too bad. The $13 pizza is a pretty good deal and is large enough for two. Some other things like the burger are in the mid to high $20's range. It's just really expensive and if I'm going to spend that kind of money I'll go someplace way nicer.

Really want to love this place as it's the closest local bar and has a ton of pool tables. But the atmosphere and service are pretty off.
We were ordering beers while playing pool for an hour and some, then the guy just stopped coming back. After 30mins we went to the bar and asked for beer. Bartender said our server would come back. He never did, we went back up to the bar and asked again and waited until he actually came. Took almost another 10mins. I don't know what was going on. It was busy, but not THAT busy there. Very weird. He was a nice guy otherwise!
Also, for whatever reason they were blasting loud EDM pretty early in the night that I really don't think anyone was enjoying (it's a sports bar, not a rave!). We asked if they could change the music, which they didn't do. At one point in the night, whoever was streaming the music from their phone left or something and the music chopped in and out for several minutes before cutting out completely for another 10min or so. Then the music came back and changed to something more palatable.
Food is fine, it's really nothing special but I wouldn't go to a place like this for the food.
Hope management can figure out whats going on.

The tables are horrible...thick, slow and cheap felt. They should all be scrapped and replaced with decent ones we can properly play on. The overall service should be better and coffee & water should ALWAYS be available.
Most league players dread playing there...me included.

Most of the pool tables need to be removed from this place, the tops were all wrinkled and the the table top was lifted on multiple ones. Ordered a beer and waited over an hour for it to come and never received it. The food was good but the portion sizes suck. Don’t waste your money on any deserts.

I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. On top of that the service was top tier. Absolutely adored Mary, she’s gorgeous and so sweet. She has a very bubbly personality and is great with conversation! She was truly a delight. I am visiting from out of town and this was the first service I’ve received that I’ve truly enjoyed I would genuinely recommend Mary. If you want a great service ask for her section!!

Worst experience I ever had in place place like that! No wonder it was empty on Friday! First the waitress who told us her name like 20 times was totally drunk and can not focus! She kept coming to our table and talking talking and repeating the orders then come back five minutes later and she forgot everything! Missed up the drink ? then the food order! The food quality is very bad and old that I got very sick that I had to go to the hospital after! We couldn’t have a good time or good food or good drinks and we paid almost 200$ ! Guys don’t go there and waste your money and time
Yes her name is Ashly omg how they let you be drunk on the job ?
