I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant last night. To start, the food was absolutely tasteless and not fresh—it seemed like some dishes were cooked the day before. The lamb dishes were particularly unpleasant, with a strong, off-putting smell. To make matters worse, we found a hair in the lamb biryani, which was completely unacceptable.
The hygiene standards were equally poor. The washrooms were dirty, and the hand-wash provided felt more like dishwasher liquid.
Customer service was pathetic. The staff was inattentive and unresponsive. We had to repeatedly ask for basic items like cutlery, napkins, and side orders. For the $175 we spent, this level of service was entirely unacceptable.
The only things we actually enjoyed were the naans, cold drinks, and cholay bhatury, but they hardly made up for the overall terrible experience.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was a total waste of money

They are not supposed to charge GST on food during Christmas time but they charged it anyway. That's my complaint. It made the experience bad.
I ordered delivery. From other reviews, it does seem that the restaurant itself will not impress you. But the food is fantastic.
Great biryani and amazing chicken tikka with Naan. It's now my go-to for delivery food nights. Great packing job as well

This was my goto restaurant but not anymore. Last night I decided to dine-in instead of takeout, The first thing I noticed was that the floors were sticky. Then, when I sat down at the table those are sticky too with files all around. Still i ignored it as i was so hungry and ordered a lamb biryani. Once the order came in, while I was eating, I noticed another thing which really pissed me off!! HUMAN HAIR in the food. when I complained about it to a staff member. There were like “ It must have fallen by mistake” and the response was it a smirk smile on their face.
There are far better and well maintained places for having authentic biryani.

Going to Chandni Chowk brough back memories of Gerrard Street Bazaar. We loved the food.....Footlong Kabab with naan and tasty Chatni, Karahi Gosht and Hyderabadi Biryani all were fresh and so yummy. All the staff gave great friendly service and we really felt that we are their old time friends. Congrats to Khansahab to keep the traditions there at Gerrard St even though he got two amazing locations in Mississauga. THANK YOU CHANDI CHOWK! Sadat

Rude behaviour of staff. Hesitant to give extra cup to drink water. Ordered biryani which is so normal and ambiance is really filthy. Washroom is a big alert…. Feels like serial killer room. In worst condition with mosquitoes and flies

To make matters worse, I witnessed a staff member literally picking up food from the floor in front of me. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.
Furthermore, the staff's attitude was extremely rude, with the owner being particularly unpleasant. Customer service was clearly not a priority here. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will definitely not be returning.
