Had a wonderful brunch, the quality of the food is very high, and Irene was an incredible server.
We haven’t been to this restaurant since it was in Parkdale and I think it’s even better now.

Nice little brunch place in Toronto.

Went early on a Sunday and we had reservations but it wasn’t too busy (though got busy later).

Got the beef tartare which was nice.
The brioche. Was really good.

The French onion soup could have been more flavourful.

The steak frites was nice.

Service was good.

We would come back and try other things.

Delicious dishes. We had the steak, salad, fiddleheads, oysters and steak tartar and all was super delicious. Highly recommend.

My go to in the west end for a perfect meal and evening every time !

Usually only hit this spot for brunch, which is always incredible. But went for dinner for the first time the other day and it was incredible.

Food was amazing, simple (not a mash of flavours) yet delicious. The menu is not super big but the variation of dishes is great. Which I prefer tbh. Hate having to narrow down 8 similar dishes on a massive menu.

Wine list is one of the best I've seen, there was a natural muscadet I haven't seen on a menu in years that is one of my favourites.

Service and ambience was great, and extra points for doing somehing special for my sisters birthday (when you make a note on the reso and forget, it's an awesome surprise).

I've lived in this neighborhood my whole life and this is a certified gem in my opinion!

Costumer service is poor, attitude from all the waiters and lots of waiting time to be seated even tho half tables are empty

The food is good. Just the portion is too small. The service is very good.

I have to make this review. Every dish is way too salty. The duck liver moose made me feel sick all night. I don’t understand why people think this restaurant is good. I literally throw up.

10/10 service, the place is cozy and intimate; would 100% recommend 😇.

Had a great dining experience here! The food was delicious, service was attentive, and the dishes came out at a good pace. The only small downside was that we waited a bit too long for the dessert. That said, it was worth the wait — surprisingly, foie gras mousse with white chocolate ganache tastes really good as a dessert!

Chantecler’s menu regularly changes some items and as it’s been 10 months since I’ve dined here, I don’t believe the pork chop that I had is still available on their current menu. However, scroll through my phone I found these photos and was brought back to one of my favorite meals of 2024 so I had to post this review.
I had the pork chop, our table also order the Cornish hen, a side of fries, charred greens, the lions mane mushrooms, a vegetarian pasta which I believe is no also not on their current menu.
Having tried all the items excluding the mushrooms and pasta I have to say they were all excellent.
The service was also fantastic.
Hopefully I’ll find the time to revisit Chantecler this year too

Some dishes were good, most were mid and the service was quite lacking. Overall pretty poor value, dishes were poorly timed and servers seemed like they were doing us a big favour.

Lovely atmosphere and wonderful food. We had questions for the chef about how a certain dish was prepared and he was so gracious about coming to our table and describing all the details to us - I loved it!
