We ordered the street food snack butter chicken on waffle fries and the mango Lassi.
The butter chicken waffle fries were very good! generous portion of butter chicken that was nicely seasoned but not too spicy. the fries were a little under crisp, but overall good. For $9, it was OK value as it had a good amount of chicken.
The mango Lassi was not as exciting unfortunately. It was OK, but lacked the vibrant mango flavour we were looking forward to.
conveniently locasked in The Chef's hall, loads of seating and the establishment was very clean.

service is great but the food wasn’t tasty. biryani was not anywhere close, the chicken and the mutton curry were edible

The entire hall was closed for a private event on a random weeknight with nothing posted anywhere online. Absurd.
Popped into Chef's Hall the other day and finally tried Charcoal Biryani. And let me tell you, their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani? Absolutely delicious!
You know how sometimes biryani can be a bit off with the spices – either too much or not enough? Well, this one was just perfectly balanced. Every single bite was flavorful, and the chicken was super tender. It just hit all the right notes, exactly what you hope for in a good biryani.
And talk about portions! I got one for lunch, and honestly, I had enough left over for dinner too. So, you're definitely getting your money's worth there.
Honestly, it just totally met my expectations. If you're ever at Chef's Hall and craving some proper, aromatic biryani, you've gotta give Charcoal Biryani a try. You won't regret it!

The Biryani didn't have salt, lol these guys don't taste the Biryani after they make it
Very good atmosphere as the place is filled with restaurants. My only complaint is the biryani itself tasted bland and some of the rice is mushy. The waiting time is also a problem as the order went full 20 mins as i waited for the food.
Sorry just need some few improvements.

My favorite was the Original chicken shawarma, and butter chicken - it was generous, flavor, beautiful meal, excellent meal and overall the tamarind was gorgeous. Nice punch. Comes with a salad, and samosa - yummmy!

Was craving for authentic Indian dish and found this place nearby my hotel in downtown Toronto.
I tried their Chicken Briyani which I would rate 4.5 out of 5. I talked with staff and they were super friendly. Manish and the chef Suraj they were really good at what they do. Went there for briyani only but ended up ordering chicken sawarma roll as well , which was surprisingly great.
Would love to visit this place again whenever I am in downtown Toronto.
Much love ❤️

Large trays to fool you that there’s more food. Salad is soggy and bland, rice is flavourless . Chicken, the most important part had no flavour, and was dry. Overpriced and not worth your $$

The $20 plate is deception. The packaging is huge with a tiny portion of flavourless chicken, rice, and tomato-less salad. Embarrassing.

We had a delightful dinner at Charcoal Biryani! We were looking for something appetizing and filling, yet balanced. The lamb biryani hit all the check boxes. The spices were perfectly layered and the lamb had an excellent texture. We would definitely come back again for a cozy meal while downtown!

Had the hyderabadi chicken biryani. It was mid, the masalas felt a bit unblended and there were pieces of hard rice. It was $20 so I was a bit skeptical but the portion size was decent. Would I try it again? Probably not, is it a decent halal option in Chefs hall? Yea.
