I appreciate that they let us try some beer samples before we committed to a choice. Our server was good. Also, when we went, all the cues were very straight and the tables were well maintained. I haven't been out to shoot pool in Toronto lately, so I felt the price was a bit high, but maybe that is the standard. It was a Monday, so I would have like a small price reduction.

The only redeeming feature about this place is the amount of pool table that they own, but donât expect to be able to use them because they are constantly booking them and their booths all out for parties. They leave the bar open when really there is no reason to come here at all if thatâs the only place to sit. Staff is also always extremely unforgiving and short in their interactions. Unfortunate mismanagement of a decent space.

Our recent experience at Charlott Billiard Room was profoundly bad. The service was consistently poor; Asian lady with a small height was so rude to a guest requesting assistance. I cannot recommend this venue for any gathering if you are looking for a quality service.
Our company hosted a corporate event at Charlott Billiard Room (King & Simcoe), and the experience was extremely disappointing.
We had a confirmed agreement for Glenlivet 12-year-old for our group of 70â80 people. Shockingly, the bar only put out one bottle and within an hour claimed they were âout of stock.â For an event of this size, that is unacceptable and shows poor planning or mismanagement.
There was no manager on duty, and the staff member handling the bar was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we questioned why our agreed drink option was unavailable, she raised her voice and said, âIf we donât have it, should I go to the LCBO right now and get it?â This is not the way to speak to customers, especially at a corporate event.
Instead of offering a reasonable replacement, they insisted we purchase full-priced drinks at a higher cost. Glenlivet was priced at $9.50, and the next option was $12.50. We even offered to pay the difference, but she refused and said we had to pay full price for the $12.50 option. Meanwhile, they pushed us toward Jamesonâa whisky that costs nearly half the price of Glenlivetâcreating a huge value gap from what was initially agreed.
This was unprofessional, misleading, and created frustration for our team. We have already reported this to our management.
If youâre planning an event here, get everything in writing, and be prepared to walk away if they canât honour the liquor agreement throughout the event. Our experience was far from what a corporate group should expect.

First time coming to charlottes room, pool tables in great condition staff extremely friendly and helpful. Maddie the bartender was amazing made sure we had everything we need and made the best sunrise i ever tried. Great atmosphere and definitely will be returning.
