Had dinner tonight at Chica and the food is great! My comments are about the service/atmosphere. We had a reservation at the bar and while I’m enjoying my meal, I got sprayed with water by the bartender as she washed the glasses, not once, twice, but three different times. There were no apologies and she definitely knew she had sprayed me multiple times, since I overheard her tell the other bartender “opps, my bad”.It ruined the mood.

Came by on a week night. Happy hour deal for cocktails is really good. Had a fresh espresso martini (not on happy hour) and a rebojito. Good selection of cocktails that I was surprised to see available for happy hour 10-12am.The jamon croquettes with truffle was to die for. I only wish they were bigger so I could have more. Bread and butter was nice too.Service was ok wish they came by more often as we were constantly trying to order more dishes.On a positive note: we ordered the steak with béarnaise on the side. It came out with it on (egg allergy) and they quickly remade it and gave us some coconut shots while we waited for our new steak.

Came here for birthday dinner. Service and decor was nice, small space so tables were closer together.Chorizo and bread and the patatas bravas were average, will skip next time. Ahi tuna crudo and scallop crudo were our favourites. Fresh and balanced flavours. Interesting ingredients used such as melon, trout roe, salsa verde. Pork belly was tender but overall the dish was heavy and needed an acidic component to cut the fattiness. Hanger steak was cooked well and liked the blistered shishitos.It was so nice of them to offer a complimentary birthday dessert. The chocolate cake was amazing!

My recent visit to this restaurant was a mixed bag, to say the least. While the food served was delicious, the overall experience was marred by disappointing service and uncomfortable seating.To celebrate my 32nd birthday, a group of four friends and I decided to dine here. Upon arrival, three of us were promptly seated, but the fourth member of our party was still parking her car. As we waited, we decided to order wine. However, when I requested four glasses to accommodate our entire party, the server surprisingly refused, insisting that we wait until our friend arrived before providing the fourth glass. This rigid stance on something as simple as an extra wine glass was unexpected and left us feeling unwelcome.Additionally, throughout our meal, we found the chairs to be uncomfortable to sit in. The lack of cushioning and support made for a less-than-pleasant dining experience.While the food served was undoubtedly tasty, the subpar service and uncomfortable seating greatly detracted from our overall enjoyment. Unfortunately, these factors overshadowed the positive aspects of our visit. As such, I find it difficult to recommend this restaurant to others based on my experience.

As a restaurant that figures in the Michelin guide, I expected a lot better. The food was good but not excellent. Definitely not worth the price (37$ for a few bites of ham). The service was mediocre. For the price of the food, I would have expected a certain quality of service.

Had a rude led female waitress (the lady that was standing in the front of the restaurant greeting). When we told her we are celebrating birthday today if she can help us put the cake in the kitchen she said she’s not sure if they had space and roll her eyes at us. First time in my life having a waiter rolling eyes at me. The rude waitress also gave us a small round high top table in the middle of the restaurant infront of the washroom when 2/3 of the restaurant was empty. When we asked her if we can sit at a booth she stated the other tables were already reserved for different parties, when we Reserved our table a week in advance but until we left and the restaurant was about to closed only 2 more parties of 2 people each walked into the restaurant lol. The one star was for the manager who was so kind to change us to a booth, offer us drinks and discount to the bill. The manager also change our server to a male waiter who was very kind and professional.

The food was okay, but we had a terrible experience with our waitress who seemed to reject everything we requested. It was my birthday dinner, which I had booked a week ahead of time, but she gave us a table close to the washroom when there were many better spots available. We politely asked if we could store our birthday cake in the fridge, but she didn't seem to know anything and gave us a dirty look the second time we asked. However, the manager handled the issue right away, and the other staff were super friendly. He even gave us a free drink and a discount to apologize. Despite the initial problem, we still enjoyed our time there for the rest of the night.
