Great family owned restaurant with a unique vibe. The food is perfectly done with care. Chicken is not greasy and fries are the best in my opinion. Cleanliness is above standards. Just an all round amazing place. The customer service is friendly, helpful and you know the price is fair as the portions are generous and filling especially if you are feeding a family. I'm not going here to sit down and eat although the vibe inside is pretty interesting with all the memorabilia etc on the walls. That said, as far as fast food goes, this is the best fried chicken I've had in years and I wont even bother ordering fried chicken anywhere else. I've had it many times with the family and everyone loves it; high quality meat and high quality taste. I definitely recommend this place, but check the hours to make sure they're open.

I traveled 1.5 hrs to try this fried chicken that my friends highly recommended. Wow! It was well worth the journey. The chicken was thoroughly washed and seasoned. Fried to perfection, and you can see the juices dripping when you break into it. The battered skin was nice and light, so you taste alot of the chicken. However, the battered skin was a bit strong on salt. The homemade style gravy added flare to the chicken. I will definitely visit again and tell my friends about this place. Thanks for a nice experience

The food was bomb. I came in within 5 mins of opening, so it was as fresh as possible. Chicken was delicious, but it had buttermilk (duh), fries were crispy, gravy *chefs kiss*
PSA: There is dairy in the gravy. I ended up hospitalized because i didn't get a heads up. Id be much more upset if it werent for the food being good. 😆🤣😅🥲
Update: went back in 3 weeks later, my intention was to say "hey so your gravy having dairy should be a heads-up to future customers with dairy issues"

Really poor customer service. They refuse to give you all dark or all white meat, unlike every other chicken spot in the city. Quality is no better than the KFC down the street. Kitchen staff doesn’t wear gloves. I would skip it unless you’re desperate.

Been going to this place for over 30 years and the food is always good and the gravy is outstanding. It is a small place only has seating for 5 people at a stainless steel bar on stools. But the owners are awesome and I won't eat at KFC or Popeyes because I will just be disappointed when I think I could of just got chick-n-joy instead.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not really as there is a half step to get into place but owners and patrons are kind and would probably either help you in or serve you at the door. But I have not seen if this is true.

Feels great to go into an independently run spot these days and not somewhere corporate. Great chicken. Fries kind of need the gravy but it’s not expensive so splurge on the gravy. If you get a 3 piece with fries instead of a two piece, you get more fries (so get a bigger gravy).
