Update: went back in 3 weeks later, my intention was to say "hey so your gravy having dairy should be a heads-up to future customers with dairy issues"

Really poor customer service. They refuse to give you all dark or all white meat, unlike every other chicken spot in the city. Quality is no better than the KFC down the street. Kitchen staff doesn’t wear gloves. I would skip it unless you’re desperate.

Got the Taylor Swift special with fries and gravy takeout. Everything was fantastic and this was a very special deal. Only notes is everything could have used a tad more seasoning but better to be under than over salted. Definitely coming back.

Been going to this place for over 30 years and the food is always good and the gravy is outstanding. It is a small place only has seating for 5 people at a stainless steel bar on stools. But the owners are awesome and I won't eat at KFC or Popeyes because I will just be disappointed when I think I could of just got chick-n-joy instead.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not really as there is a half step to get into place but owners and patrons are kind and would probably either help you in or serve you at the door. But I have not seen if this is true.

Feels great to go into an independently run spot these days and not somewhere corporate. Great chicken. Fries kind of need the gravy but it’s not expensive so splurge on the gravy. If you get a 3 piece with fries instead of a two piece, you get more fries (so get a bigger gravy).

This is the best fried chicken place ever!!! French fries with yellow chicken gravy can't be beat, there is no other french fries and gravy that comes even close to these fries and gravy. Chicken is fried perfectly, and you get big pieces. Like huge pieces. The crispy chicken skin is sooo good.
I've been going here since 1982 when I was a child at Duke of Connaught school, all us kids went here for lunch and created a big line at the counter and out the restaurant. It's still amazing all these years.

The best chicken, fries and gravy in Toronto!!!!! I’ve eaten here since I was in high school. An amazing once in a while treat!!!! I’m not sure why people complain about the service, I always find them super friendly when I pick up. Go here if you have the chance, get lots of gravy! It’s amazing!
