Good and affordable food for take out
Hadn’t visited since pre-COVID. My memory must suck. The BBQ chicken was only OK. The ribs were terrible; the meat was as tight to the bone as when the ribs were on the pig. They were cooked, but the meat was hard as rock and the experience was brutal. Finally, the coleslaw was a gloopy mess. If one doesn’t properly salt the cabbage and get rid of retained water, one’s coleslaw becomes a soggy mess. The staff are lovely, but I went for the food and won’t return.
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I have been going here for like the last 25 years and I hadn't been in a few years so I got the grilled chicken dinner the other night. The chicken was delicious! As were the potatoes and rice! 10/10!
I havnt gone to this place in years but decided to try it this weekend was a big disjointed the chicken wasn't cooked properly it was raw and they keep it in steam table and than it was black tarry looking like the grills aren't cleaned overall wasn't bad just was big disappointment for me they need to improve in cooking the chicken and not putting in the steam table
I discovered this place about 30 years ago when we lived in the area and it had its ups and downs over the years but today’s order was by far the best in all these 3 decades, thank you for keeping the tradition
Was really disappointed with the meal. I threw the potatoes straight into the garbage (they were old), the rice was mushy and the chicken was not fresh.
Do yourself a favour and spend your money elsewhere. I spent $55.00, should have received better food than what I got.
On a scale of 1-10 I rate these guys a 0, but 0 is not an option. The worst customer service in Toronto Canada. These people are very disrespectful and full of attitude. Even for free, highly recommended, don’t order here. Stay far far far far. Their food isn’t as great anyway.
Honestly didn’t like the food but loved the customer service, very nice people. I ordered a whole chicken and rice and potatoes I didn’t like any of it.
The food is tasty and satisfying. The prices are great. The customer service is exceptionally friendly. Definitely recommend for a quick and easy take out experience.

Chicken was so over cooked it couldn’t eaten, potatoes were mush. This used to be one of the best now the worst in the city.

Chicken was dry, potatoes completely mush, couldn't even pick them up with a fork. Rice was ok.
There is just enough room for 2 people to stand in there, and I watched an employee rest a chicken rotisserie on the floor and against the wall. Of course, I got sick.

I've been visiting this place since 1997.
It never disappoints.
My go-to choice is the potatoes, rice, and BBQ chicken.
Love the piri pirouette hot sauce.
Great customer service as well.
I'm glad to learn that they brought back the chicken sandwich at this location. Can't wait to give that one a try!
