The cocktails were average and I didn’t like the fact that when my friends and I cashed out, our waiter defaulted the gratuity to 20%, 22% or 25%. He was holding the iPad and gave us no time to change the tip portion. Felt like a scam, it was just the four of us and we each ordered one cocktail. This place felt overpriced for the quality of drinks and food they pump out.
One of my fav high end bars in Toronto. Civil works is located on the second floor of the well. So you get a great view of the art installation in the building. The bar itself has such a nice dim light speakeasy look to it.
It tended to get busy here so I suggest making reservations! Bathrooms are very clean & the staff is very nice and accommodating.

Lovely cocktail bar we stopped at for a drink after graffiti alley. Lovely French guy (sorry we forgot your name) served us so interesting cocktails and had some great info about them for us. It was pretty quiet but I think just because we where quite early in the afternoon. Of an evening I can see it being very popular. Would visit again.
