Lovely location. We tried many items in the menu and everyone was very satisfied with their choices. Noise level was a bit high but due to large room with high ceiling.

I had fish and chips and the hazelnut espresso martini. Both excellent. My husband had a scallop appetizer and the plum tart. Enjoyed both plus some of my fish and chips. Next time I might try two appetizers - the russet chips and something else. Would have the martini again - it was dessert in a glass. Great service. Lovely view of the ROM. High ceilings and window walls so nothing to absorb voices.

Had lunch at Clay on a Friday afternoon. A wonderful experience from the time we arrived to the time we left! Very friendly staff, incredibly wonderful food (nicely presented too), good space between tables, bright room, and low noise level. I can't wait to return and try more of the menu. This is my second time dining here and the first for my guest, who also wants to return.

Clay is a great space but our luncheon experience was underwhelming. Started off well then went downhill. Very long wait for entrees which we finally hailed the server to ask about. The omelette had enough sun dried tomatoes in it for four omelettes - unappetizing. The eggplant dish had little eggplant and an excess of pita crisps. The plum tart had no plums - it was a cold, hard marzipan-like cake with a dab of plum jam on the side. After waiting again to be noticed, we walked up to reception to pay the bill. Clay gets good reviews - it's possible this was just a bad day for the kitchen and service.

Everything about our lunch at Clay was tops EXCEPT the noise level is exceptionally high. Too loud. Difficult to hear each other.

Excellent place for lunch. Especially love the omelette but this time around only gave 4 stars to food as omelette was a bit dry and not that tasty. Also cheese in the omelette had not melted. But always a great place to dine

I go there quite often however, on this occasion, the food was quite spectacular. It was oysters Rockefeller, my husband and I paired it with russet fries. I have not had oysters Rockefeller for many years most likely it was in New Orleans at Antoine's these were really done beautifully. Congratulations for the performance and inspiration

A hidden gem on the 3rd floor of the Gardiner Ceramic Museum (directly opposite the ROM at the Queen's Park end of the Mink Mile), which has been described as Toronto's nicest room. Consistently great food and service. I just wish they would stay open for dinner, but if you can enjoy dining and be gone by 3:00 it is a wonderful experience.

The three of us really enjoyed our time at Clay Restaurant. We sat on the side patio, between the buildings, with a view of trees and the Royal Ontario Museum across the road. A quite spot, and very pleasant. Excellent service and delicious food. Love the home-made bread. We'll be back.

Really beautiful and unique space! Service was good and the food was good, but I found it a bit overpriced.

Lovely setting and interior design. Accommodated a hard of hearing customer beautifully in a nook without music. Interesting and good food. Tables far apart so very private. A great place to lunch and talk.
