I’ve been coming here for a while now and unfortunately the customer service has been consistently disappointing. The staff are very unfriendly and seem to lack the basic understanding of how to deal with customers. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt maybe they were just having a bad day. But this has happened every single time. We all have bad days, but if you’re going to serve customers with attitude or a cringe tone then maybe it’s better to stay home until you feel better. It’s really unfortunate because the bread itself is good but the way the staff treat people makes me not want to return.
This location got to ridiculous point. They don't accept $100 bills and now they won't accept $50 anymore. My total today came up to $51.06 and I couldn't use $50 bill that I had. Train your employees to recognize counterfeit money, buy a machine or take a loss by loosing a client.....

the bread here is super affordable and the quality is decent. I wouldn’t say it’s top-notch compared to other bakeries I’ve tried in Toronto, but their prices definitely stand out in a good way... tbh the sourdough didn't really have the common distinctive tangy flavor, but it’s still good quality overall. the croissant has a nice buttery taste, though it was pretty standard. I do like the focaccia most: insise was incredibly soft and chewy, while the outside has a beautiful golden crust with herbs :}

I got the cinnamon roll for first time and absolutely loved it! So moist, fresh and delicious! It was my birthday so it was a free gift for being on their Cobs Club. I also loved that it came in a box without me asking for one!
Service was fast and friendly and there’s always a warm ambiance at this Bloor Spadina location. They had two choices for the cinnamon roll with or without icing which I liked. I got with icing! So good!

Love the bread, will go back.
The sour dough was good, but I like Nord Lyon's better. No one here makes any fresh bread without wheat.
always good and fresh

Not in the habit of writing bad reviews, but the pastries I bought today tasted off. There was a 'soapy' taste in them, not sure how to explain it. It's my first time going there and I expected the blueberry custard pastry and the chocolate 'pain au chocolat/ chocolate pastry' to have a buttery taste to the dough but instead there was a soapy aftertaste which could possibly mean a high level of baking soda. Won't be going again because of the taste. of the dough.
super generous and kind service!! the cream puff was delicious. my friends had the scones and also said how good they were!
For a university project, my group members and I got to interview the owner, Nathan Zou, about his experience as a franchise owner for COBS Bread. Nathan was kind, humble, and generous with his time, consistent with his involvement in the local community. It was a great experience!
I bought a croissant which got my mind off the rainy weather and some mini cinnamon buns which made me the man of the hour when I got back to my study group. If you're ever near Spadina and Bloor, treat yourself (or your friends)! Thank you Nathan and thank you COBS Bread!
I’m disappointed that the quality of the products in this location varies depending on which day you go. I usually go on Saturdays and have never had a complaint. I went on a Thursday and the ham & cheese croissant had a tiny piece of ham in the middle and a trace amount of cheese and the triple chocolate scone had ZERO chocolate chips in it and was extremely dry and not chocolatey at all. I guess I’ll stick to going on Saturdays to the Annex location.
In general, I find this issue at other Cobs locations as well, quality is consistently inconsistent and bakers are often cheaping out and cutting corners making an inferior product that I regret paying good money for. When it’s good it’s great. When it’s not, I hesitate to remain a loyal customer.
Customer service at all locations I’ve visited has been consistently good.

Great bread and buns. I only wish that more of the breads are available when they open in the morning
