We went for the Sweet Sorrow show and it was much better than we expected! The ambience of the bar is amazing, the food is delicious and the drinks are fabulous. Our hostess Jess was so kind and gave us a 5-star treatment. We'll definitely come back!

The food was actually terrible, they is this place so expensive? Go for the drinks, not the food.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Mediocre food and drinks. Terrible manager who selectively scolds guests for apparently taking photos but lets others take photos and even directs them to the photo areas. A lot of hype but overrated. Would not visit again.

Came here with a large party for my birthday last night. Carson our server, was attentive, kind and funny. She knows what she’s doing popping bottles of champagne and will go through the whole food menu with you if you are feeling indecisive. Everything was delicious. Definitely get the bacon wrapped figs. Thank you Carson!

Most beautiful speakeasy place in Toronto. For an oyster bar, we were surprised that the size of the oysters were so tiny for 6 pieces $25+ We were disappointed that the size of the oysters. Did we pay for the container and the amount of ice? The service was a bit slow as there was only person serving us at the front. Espresso martini $5 was not bad worth the buck.

Such a nice place to visit. The seating is cutesy, and the entire place is picture worthy! They also give wine cellar tours within. We had a $5 espresso martini and it was the best! Will be back!

A fun after theatre visit . We choose wine instead of champagne and had a variety of delicious oysters. Sat at the bar and then was shown the tour !

My friend and I had a fabulous time at COC!

Special shout-out to our host, Noah. He treated us with such kindness and hospitality. His recommendations turned our night from a fun one, to one we won’t forget! We ate, we drank and leave with no apologies :)

A friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint! Our server Karson was lovely and very personable. Her service was above and beyond. Overall, great atmosphere! Would 100% recommend.

Echoing what other 1 star comments have mentioned. Seems like the staff get annoyed with certain types of people entering. The male staff were all lovely but every single female staff gave us attitude. The waitress at COC rolled her eyes at us when she thought I wasn’t looking. Then cleaned up the table next to us while giving us the side eye. If we weren’t celebrating a birthday, I would have for sure asked her if there was a problem. Coat check at A Toi seemed so annoyed with every question that was directed at her. Not a word was said to the bartender at A Toi but we were suddenly screamed at. Overall, a very unwelcoming atmosphere.

Moving on to food and drinks- definitely not worth the price. There was absolutely no thought put into the cocktails at COC. Random ingredients were thrown together and they added a $20 price tag for each. Food was extremely salty and almost inedible.

Expect sub-par food & service. Plus a screwed face if you are not a regular. Never again.

Food and atmosphere was nice in the speak easy. Odd that they lead with Champagne in their name but yet you have to search for it on the menu. Servers were not versed in the concept (champagnes to recommend, etc) or interested in getting our order served properly. (food came out separately for each person). Also was reminded multiple (multiple!) times that our reservation was coming to an end. Thank you, but we didn't need a stopwatch. Too bad, as we expected this place to be a bit more mature and chic for $38 glasses of champagne.

Pretty unique spot in Toronto, especially if you end up in A Toi. Awesome spot to take friends or a date in my opinion. Drinks are on the pricier side and are quite strong. The caviar bumps are definitely worth a try!
