I recently reserved a booth at Cold Tea, and the experience was a major disappointment.
First, the billing practices were misleading. While I was aware of the automatic 20% gratuity, I noticed an extra $20 charge, bringing the total gratuity to 22% instead of the expected 20%. They also neglected to subtract my deposit from the final bill, and when I went to pay, I was not prompted to add any additional tip—only to confirm the payment.
After emailing them to review my receipt, I discovered an additional charge that wasn’t clearly communicated. When I reached out for clarification, they were unhelpful and refused to refund the 15% tip they’d added on top of the 20% gratuity. They claimed it was “illegal” to adjust this, which seemed highly suspicious. This place seems intent on squeezing out extra charges whenever possible.
Beyond the billing issues, the venue itself was subpar. The DJs were underwhelming, and the facility didn’t appear up to code. Our booth had a hole in the stairs that people tripped over, and the stairs weren’t slip-resistant. I ended up falling backward and hitting my head.
Overall, this place deserves a 1-star review. Between the sketchy billing practices, unhelpful service, and unsafe conditions, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

On October 26th at this venue, my girlfriend's phone was stolen, and the individuals were allowed to leave the club. When we gathered outside to collect ourselves, we saw another woman whose phone was also stolen. Later that night, my girlfriend's sister's phone was also stolen from the same club. It seems this club is swimming with thieves.

This was an extremely disappointing visit. Let me begin with the positives, The security outside was pleasant and professional. The Caribbean vibes, music, and DJ were good. Now from. The moment we walked into the front entrance room, we were met with the stench of vomit. The cashier in the next room couldn't be bothered and was snippy. Upon entering the venue, the layout is unique. Making our way to the bar, we notice a young lady passed out at the bar. Then we attempted to order at the bar that wasn't full, and the blonde bartender was rude and gave no care about customer service at all. Drinks were poor in execution, rushed, and bar was dirty. NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT ALL. Paid left our drinks and walked out. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS VENUE.

This place is a VIBE & a half. I’ve never been on any other day then Sunday but the music was a vibe, the people were a vibe, the food vendor they had grilling the beef skewers were a vibe (Guu Izakaya). Y’all will see me again once it warms up a little more but yall doing it right over there ?? only thing I can say and that comes with most venues in the city is sometimes your eating a while at the bar but realistically there only so much that can be done when you have 10 intoxicated people at the bar and 2-3 bartenders. But the one time the girl had her back turned to me for a while and I gave up on getting a drink and came back when it was less busy.
