A gem for flavourful, authentic Mexican food. We got the birria tacos which came with a consume, and chicken al pastor. The owner was very friendly and even gave us free dessert at the end. It's in a sketchier area, but the vibes inside were welcoming and warm.

Went there for my birthday for the first time and had an amazing time! We had the platters which were delicious, and they made a special plate for my picky daughter and she ate it all! The service was incredible. Will be coming back for sure!

Great food and friendly service.
Came for some pozole but I missed out as they had run out for the day. Pivoted to the al pastor burrito and was very happy with my choice. Both chicken and pineapple were juicy and delicious and made for a great burrito. My partner crushed a big order of birria tacos (one went to me), and they were also great — crispy tortillas and juicy beef, the consommé is a great addition for dipping or just enjoying on its own.
Always love coming here, and can’t wait to be back.

Highlight of the night was the staff coming out singing happy birthday with a full size strawberry short cake. Owners of the restaurant are welcoming and cares for their customers. Very friendly staff, warm ambiance and authentic Mexican food. birria tacos and birria flautas 10/10. I also tried one of their Agua Fresca, it's very refreshing. Beautiful ambiance, it's a must try.

30 bucks for three tiny Burria tacos. They taste great but common guys. Side of guacamole is 10$. I can get the same tacos downtown with more selection and not have to drive to the hood to get em. What a shame. This place used to be great.

I’ve come here time and time again for the birria tacos, and 9/10 times they don’t disappoint. For some reason, since recent times, the quality has dropped. I still have hope that they will return to their previous quality as they have me as a repeat customer. Their sauces are always great and the atmosphere of the restaurant feels authentic.

Started off 2026 in the right way by having dinner at Comal y Canela. I haven’t been here in years! Last time I was here we had to sit outside since indoor dining was not allowed. The food was delicious, birria flautas were a 10/10. The gobernador taco were good, but I wouldn’t get them again as I’ve had better at other restaurants. I’d probably choose something else to try, but the Birria flautas are a definite re-order. The restaurant is small and they try to fit a lot of tables, making it a little difficult to settle in comfortably in certain areas. Other than that, service was fantastic and I’ll be back for sure.
