Cong Caphe - Bloor location, has become my go to coffee stop in the mornings heading to the office. The peanut butter iced coffee is fantastic! And the atmosphere & service are unmatched, the aesthetic of this cafe is my favourite. Lilian especially is a stand out, she always makes the coffee perfect and is so kind and approachable, makes my mornings much more enjoyable! Their food is fresh and delicious as well.

Cong was recommended to me by one of my favourite Toronto baristas. He had spent some time in Vietnam and had been to a few of these franchised coffee shops when he was there. It was an absolutely amazing find once again proving that if you wanna know where the best coffee in Toronto is ask your barista
From the moment you stepped through the doors of Cong you realize that you are in a carefully curated and extremely lovingly designed space. Immediately when you walk in the door, there is a poster on the wall discussing the founder of the franchise and her vision for the cafés. I feel her vision has been fully realized. I have included a picture of this poster in my photos so that you can read the story of the café and the founders vision.
As many of you who follow my Google reviews will know, I do not generally like sweet coffee. My typical coffee drink is a straight up old school Cortodo made with a very dark espresso roast. However, at Cong I asked the barista what she would recommend as the most typical coffee which would be served in the morning at the cafés in Vietnam. She produced an absolutely beautiful, frothy, sweet coffee, which I understand to be a combination of very strong espresso with condensed milk. The coffee is somehow frothed to make it beautifully rich with just the perfect amount of sweetness.
We are so absolutely fortunate in Toronto to have such a vast variety of coffee experiences open to us .Cong is a perfect example of the way in which the world of coffee is now easily accessible in Toronto. I certainly will be back to this beautiful café to try some of their other signature coffee drinks. This is an absolute must coffee experience if you're in the Annex!

Employees are louder than anyone else in the store at the time we visited. We tried to talk to each other but barely heard anything, we decided to text each other to leave and find other store. Coffee is ok. We went on Sun morning, everyone else is quiet, respectful. Except for the employees of the store :)
The staffs talked to each other louder than the customers, creating a lot of noise. I’ve only ever seen customers talking loudly, but never staff being this loud and chatty. I hope Cong Caphe will improve in the future, otherwise, I think, the image of Vietnamese people will be lost.

Loved this cafe! Open till 10 pm with free WiFi, great music, and cozy interiors. Perfect for work or chill time. Highly recommend! Had a large coffee for $1.08 CAD. Unbelievable deal! I would avoid their pastry because on that particular day, I saw fruit flies on their pastries and a few in cafe too.
