I really wanted to like this place but I feel like the cakes here are subpar. I’ve ordered the matcha strawberry cake, 3:15, and mont blanc so I’ve given them plenty of chances. Every time the cakes have been dry and a bit bland! It seems like they might be mass producing these cakes and storing them in the freezer because the inside of the matcha strawberry cake in particular tasted like it had been defrosted, similar to the frozen cakes from the grocery store. There are better bakeries charging the same prices for *fresh* cake

I made a mistake on my scheduled delivery but they were super nice and quick communicating with me to change the plans to the same day. The milk tea cake was delicious too, will order again!

My friend pre ordered the sweet prosperity cake 2 days ago for 6pm delivery tonight. They cancelled the order last minute and when I called in to ask them why. They said there’s a system glitch and this cake can only be ordered on their website. Honestly, it’s been pre order for two days and you could have at least contacted us. We think they have our cake away. We managed to find a last minute cake elsewhere on uber but I will never order anything from them again on uber. Super disappointed.

Previous review: I love their macarons ! Always chewy and delicious ! My favourite is Earl grey, HK milk tea, matcha, black sesame, Vietnamese coffee and salted caramel. Totally worth it!

I’ve tried their HK milk tea, Mont Blanc and tiramisu cake which isn’t bad.

The only bad experience I’ve really had was my daughter’s 3rd birthday vanilla cake from a long time ago. Since than I try to avoid customize cakes from them. Everyone was surprised and disappointed. However the cake was pretty!

Pre Ordered cake on uber for Chinese new year. Got cancelled last minute. Don’t offer uber if you are going to cancel. Now we have no cake for celebration.

The 3:15 cake was too bitter for my liking. The actual cake texture was not bad.

It’s been awhile since I ordered here as I felt their quality, technique and craftsmanship have been declining. It’s a shame that despite their popularity, they lack consistent, high-standard work.

I ordered their sweet prosperity cake. The cake appearance had visible imperfections but this wasn’t what surprised me (I always knew their macarons and cakes lack consistent piping, sculpting or attention to detail - you can see for yourself in their marketing photos on the website. The flaws are clearly visible and lack refinement).

What surprised me was the texture of the horse macaron - the shell immediately crumbled into dry hard pieces when bit into and the macaron filling was hard. Aren’t macarons one of their signature items? We tried cutting it first without success. Biting it was near impossible too. Good thing I didn’t buy the mini macaron sets.

The cake was also dry unfortunately. It seems that they have premade a batch of cakes and kept it frozen. We picked up and ate the cake the same afternoon, and even left it in room temperature for 20 min before serving. Very disappointed and reinforced my decision not to return.

I’ve been to this location several times now for cakes, macarons, ice cream… and from my experience this one has by far the best service and desserts every time (I’ve also been to the downtown location on Spadina and the one in Richmond Hill), I picked up a small Mont Blanc today I preordered months in advance during a promo for my birthday and the staff working there was very friendly and sweet and I really appreciated the hand-written message card that came with it! 🥹 Cake was of course delicious and a hit with everyone in my family, big thanks for making the drive in today’s snowy weather worth it 🙏❤️

There's nowhere to enjoy the tasty cake and the ambience doesn't match how great the cakes are..BUT the cakes are so delicious that it's ok to bring home and enjoy!
The 24k Mango cheesecake has so many textures. The cheesecake has a semi ice cream-like texture and the bottom crunch is great together. The mango flavour is fragrant.
We also enjoyed the Viet tiramisu cake, the 3:15 cake and the Dubai chocolate cake. The Dubai chocolate has a fantastic flavour to it with a very bottom crunch as well

Extremely happy with the convenience and service Daan Go provided for me when I panicked needing a last-minute Holiday dessert option

I ordered one of their signature 3:15 cakes online and for the price quality selection and promptness of delivery Daan Go easily beat out 5 other Asian bakeries in the downtown area in every aspect!!!

Every other business was either sold out of multiple cake options, or didn't offer delivery or had a long-winded 3 days before pre-order process for the cakes, or had outrageous fees for delivery and handling but Daan Go was extremely reasonable and the delivery process was FAST and seamless

Something to note, I ordered DIRECTLY from the Daan GO website. If you order thru Doordash or Uber Eats you will pay exorbitant extra fees so if you do order make sure it's on the DaanGo website.

Won't hesitate to order from Daan Go again and the cake was absolutely adorable!
